I’m not a fan of running an option to the short side of the field. Ball was on the right hash mark. Less room for the play to develop if going to the right.

I’m not used to the refs being so blatantly in favor of the team I root for … Refreshing feeling. At the same time, that sucks for Iowa.

A couple of costly fuckups on offense probably cost us 4-7 points. Still all around excellent first half. I’d be feeling a lot better if JJ would have hit Roman for that TD. My Kingdom for a QB who doesn’t overthrow every fucking deep ball.

I wish those drives would have resulted in TD's, but the TOP is almost as good as a score. At least the defense isn't out there chasing air all day.

Probably the most disappointed people in Iowa City right now are the Fox Sports contingent. They REALLY want an Iowa win today.

We've seen this officiating crew before. They love to throw flags. Hopefully it won't affect the outcome of the game.

LOL @ "Iowa getting hosed". I know this is intended to get a rise, but thanks for the laugh. This officiating crew is a equal opportunity hoser. As mentioned above, I just hope their egos don't affect the outcome of the game. Notice that the lady official hasn't tossed her flag even once. She probably deserves to be on a better crew.

My issue with the offense is that it's inefficient. Mind-blowing stat differential in favor of M and some of that has to do with critical errors. SOme of it has to do with McCarthy checking down to his outlet receivers too often (coverage?) and, again, missing the long ball. Receivers have to help McCarthy by getting open. Weiss and Moore have to get th eplay calls right for necessary mismatches.
