Our passing game today is that really annoying Debod-like scheme where everything is super short or a low percentage pass way down the field. You could throw a gigantic tarp between 10 and 30 yards where we aren't trying to throw. FFS throw a fifteen yard pass or two.

Michigan gets the ball after the half. Need to tack on 7. They'll need it.

Surprised the Turtles coverage is so good, while the pass protection is not as good as it should be.
It is aided by a lot of hand fighting. I thought the two long balls to Roman Wilson that appeared to be overthrown, WIlson was interfered with. He wasn't grabbed but there was a lot of handsy stuff going on that threw him off stride. Its being called equally by the refs on both sides so, there's that. But Maryland is very physical. You can see that not only in pass coverage but on both lines where M's getting out physicaled.

McCarthy did "weird things"..... that's been Brian's characterization of him and JJ needing to avoid doing that sort of thing. He did it on a couple of plays trying to make something happen out of nothing. I agree with Hannibal's comment on the Mike DeBord stupid passing game shit. I get you throw into what the D is giving you but they are giving a lot. Receiver routes need to be 10-15 yards deeper. Their looking for holes at 5-10 yards and getting some of that but that appraoch has stalled a couple of drives.
Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.

Dumbest comment from football commentators everywhere..."depends on the spot"...

          Yeah. No shit Sherlock.

Almost as dumb as Pusburger saying "You are looking live...."

Jesus Christ. Abysmal punt decision there. Just mind blowing. And Harbaugh clearly doesn't trust JJ now. The playcalling is tight.

If Taulia is out for the rest of the game then we've dodged the bullet.

And Taulia is back in the game, which means that we can't count on the defense to hang onto this one.

There's a little bit of breathing room here, at last. McCarthy with his best throw of the game to Roman Wilson.

Defense gets carved up again. Allowing Maryland to 20 points in this game, considering they haven't killed themselves with any big mistakes, isn't too bad. Offense didn't answer the bell today. WRs not getting open + shitty playcalling.

M needs more of those touchdowns.

RJ might have just salvaged it for us. Drive it down and punch it in, and we have surivived.
