Michigan's defensive line just isn't winning many physical battles up front. They're getting gashed in the running game, and they can't mount a pass rush.
The worst thing about playing a shittily coached team like Maryland is that there is always a chance that they are going to suddenly stop screwing up and shooting themselves in the foot last year. This is basically last year's third quarter, minus the Maryland penalties and other mental mistakes. Zero penalties for Maryland -- no bad goofs other than the fumble at the kickoff. Tua isn't missing wide open guys. Michigan is the one making the mistakes today -- gave them three points on the facemask, unforced fumble by Stokes, a dropped pass here and there, and a missed FG.Colson sucks. The DL looks really untalented.
I have been waiting for the other shoe to drop. Looks like that time has arrived. Back to being the old Michigan, I guess.

M gets the ball first, McCarthy's numbers look okay but he didn't look as good as his stats say... Yet he missed on every deep throw, if he hits one of them; his numbers/performance looks much better. Surprised the Turtles coverage is so good, while the pass protection is not as good as it should be.
Terps should have called a time out. Can't take them to the locker room with you. Oh well, I'll take it.
If you're into micro-officiating, the interception was actually incomplete. IMO
Michigan leads at the half, but probably doesn't deserve to. Corum and Schoonmaker have both come to play, but others, especially on defense are sleepwalking.
Turtle came to play. They didn't come to be the whipping boy.
Stokes likely won't see another snap.
Moody = money .. no more. Although knowing what this guy can do, he may not miss another FG attempt this year.
The fundamental stuff is the bugaboo for Michigan right now. Bad tackling, bad angles. But Maryland is playing a good game. That's coaching. Locksley and the Saban influence.
