Can't really take much from this game other than M knows how to dominate an inferior opponent. I'm not sure that its any indication of what's about to take place in conference play, but here we go, ready or not.
I actually wanted Yukon to put up more of a fight, to test McCarthy under duress, but they didn't cooperate. He pretty much did whatever he wanted.
So, the three game preseason is over. Now the real world begins. Maryland will probably motivate themselves by feeling 'disrespected' and come in hot under the collar. They've got some players, and they've got good coaching. Michigan should win, but I think the Terps will not go away easy. This will not be a blowout. Tua 2.0 will challenge the defense.
M has a pretty good record in home conference openers, even when they've been bad. I see a win, but not an easy one."The stockings were hung by the chimney with care, .. I'd worn them for weeks, and they needed the air"

I'm actually on a cruise ship sailing out of Fort Lauderdale. Just left port Everglades. Ship's TV had the M/Ucon game on ESPN2 . Reception sucked (TV can have weird issues on a ship) but I followed most of it using the TV and CBS's game cast on my phone. I read Cade is done for "a while" due to a leg injury. That sucks. He needs reps for a lot of reasons. That's because it's RT Trent Jones that gave up the sack that injured Cade. He did that v. Hawaii to - I think he's had 3 busts. Better opponents will see the right side weakness and try to exploit it to knock McCarthy out. Keegan at RG has had issues too. Hays at LT but less so. The OL remains a work in progress as far as pass-pro goes.
There was fundamentally, nothing to learn from this game unless Keegan and Jones on the right side of the OL turn out to be a bigger problem in pass pro than it appears at this point. Maryland brings a very good offense, well, sort of, to Ann Arbor. From what I've read, the Maryland D gives up a lot of yards by the eyeball measure watching video recaps (after two games stats aren't of much use).
Conference play starts next weekend. Maryland will be better than any of the first three teams but not a whole lot.
We're on a 7d itinerary that was supposed to go to ports in the E caribbean. Now going west. We've had an itinerary change due to Fiona which is tracking right up the island chain that makes up the E caribbean and is approaching PR tonight and will linger through Sunday. Then it makes a hard right and heads out to the western Atlantic missing the US east coast completely. We'll be back in Fort Lauderdale on Saturday and I'll follow the game again until we pull back out for the 2nd 7d leg that, unfortunately will be a western caribbean itinerary.Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.

You're right. They'll be better than any of the previous three though. Maybe we'll learn more about the team with some "better" competition.
