I'm 98% sure that M will score in the high 40's to mid 50's. I'll be surprised if it gets to 60.

IDK. I will be surprised if M doesn’t score 60+.
It’s not exactly running up the score… it’s the talent gap is so wide. Michigan should be unintentionally scoring big.

        I think 2022 M is slightly better than 2016 M.
2016 Rutgers is probably better than 2022 Hawaii.
        and that happened: https://www.espn.com/college-footbal...meId/400869636

Also worth noting the QB competition that is playing out. Both those guys will be trying to light it up.

Re Linesman's "fucking idiot" status affirmed by his worry post above (thank you Liney for replacing me if only momentarily. I'll be back to claim that spot) ........ he argues that the players will start reading their press clippings and play soft or something like that. That will allow Hawaii to get going on offense and therefore, I guess he believes, the spread will be less, I get much less from his post, than +43.

Acknowledging that the books do know something and it is fact based, or at least mostly tries to be, they're not likely to be delving into this feelings ball shit that I got rightfully shot through and through by the "mockery cannon" for applying it in a recent post on the CSU game myself.

This isn't 1985 or any period of time when Michigan routinely did stuff like Liney suggests they might do v. Hawaii. In my view, players, especially those that have aspirations of playing in the NFL, are dead serious about their performance and how it will contribute, bad or good, to their team's success. They don't let down in the face of shitball competition. Instead they roll (see the scores of the contenders v. weak OOC opponents last week). Afterall we're talking about giant pay-checks for players that have the talent to play at the next level and put in the work to get drafted and claim a pice of that pie. The CFB landscape with respect to that sort of thing has changed and changed dramatically.

........... and now for the latest weather forecast for Saturday night in the Big House: light rain, at times. Mark it down. talent, GFY.
Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.

........ as a follow on to that post above, mgo writers have mentioned that there has been a shift in the fan base's mood post last season's B10 Championship and CFP participation. Harbaugh appears to be ascending and meeting fan expectations for what role he'd play in elevating M's football game. Took a while but last year and what he seems to be assembling talent wise but perhaps more importantly player development in the last couple of years (no, he's not going to recruit at Alabama and UGA or osu levels), has returned expectations to realized ones. Knock on wood.

I can feel it. All the seemingly self inflicted dong punches M fans have endured for a looooong time since LC left both mentaly (his last two seasons) and physically (when he actually retired), are fading - or at least, for me, the prospect that they are going to happen because this is Michigan. They aren't and there are a lot of fact based reasons for that. BPONE is a thing of the past. I hope.

JJ McCarthy is running a 4.5 second 40 yard dash, according to Head Coach Jim Harbaugh Only 3 QBs in the NFL are faster then JJ McCarthy. Those QBs are Kyler Murray, Lamar Jackson, and Justin Fields

That's the crap that I wish would stop once and for all.

Jim Harbaugh is an excellent football coach. Full stop.

He's quirky, he's goofy, and sometimes leaves you shaking your head as to what he's thinking.

But the man can coach. And his players love him.

And if you can believe what 5* QB Jayden Davis just said about him, he knows how to communicate with recruits. ("I'd run thru a brick wall for that man")

So even if that kid doesn't sign on the dotted line, it proves that Harbaugh is reaching the high rated kids. He's making a positive impression.

The only additional thing I'd like to see from Harbaugh is for him to totally swear off returning to the NFL. He hasn't done that yet.

Harbaugh’s not an excellent coach. Way too much failure at Michigan to reach that classification.
