I still think at best (worst for Hawaii) Michigan gets into the 50's. Hawaii may score some points in garbage time against M's 3's and 4's.

      And M fans will complain.
HARBAUGH!!!! played Hawaii before with M. He beat them 63-3. I repeat, 63-3. That Hawaii team was waaaaay better than this team.

Remember that M vs Rutgers game in 2016? Probably the most one sided M game in recent memory.
2022 Hawaii vs M could certainly be that.

        M 69
        Hawaii 3

8pm game time for this though… yuk.

Latest NWS forecast is calling for dry weather on Saturday night through 9pm then 40% chance of showers. This is a delay of rain chances by about 8-12h. Even then it will be passing light rain showers. Forecasters are still hedging bets that the front will be held up wesr of SE MI.
Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.

I'm still pumping the brakes on Michigan. And again, Harbaugh doesn't deliberately run up scores. He'd rather clear his bench, than impress the voters. He's not Bobby Bowden.

If Michigan gets into the 60's it will be because the 'Bows completely give up. That could happen. They may decide early in the 3rd that they'd like to get on the bus and head to the airport for an early departure. I guess we'll see.

I don't know if he tries to run up big scores against crappy competition but it certainly happens a lot when we play crappy competition. He doesn't go the Lloyd Carr route and take the foot off the gas to start the 2nd quarter.

HARBAUGH!!!! ran the ball on 4th down from inside the 5 up 44-7 against CSU.

I don't think any coach really "deliberately" runs up the score, but most don't really care if they do, and based on a long track record, HARBAUGH!!! really doesn't care if he does.

Again, HARBAUGH!!! played Hawaii. He beat them 63-3.

So this "HARBAUGH!!! won't do this or that" bullshit is actually contradicted by numerous total fucking asshammering including, I repeat, including one against HAWAII a mere 6 years ago.

I'm not pumping the brakes because I respect Hawaii. I'm doing so because I know Michigan's history. These kids are reading all the great things that people are saying about them right now, and its going to have an effect. If not this week, then soon. They're going to get big heads, and think they're great, and they'll let up on an opponent that they should destroy, and the score will end up being other than what it should be.

I've been having a serious argument on another site for M fans about App State. My arguement is the same I've made here. App State was a good team, but Michigan prepared for them like they were the Birmingham Marian Girls Field Hockey team. They got beat. Michigan does crap like this. That is why I am pumping the brakes today.

Do I think that the 'Bows are going to beat Michigan in Ann Arbor? Of course not. I think even if Michigan plays badly, they'll find a way to win. A worst case example might be how Michigan handled U Mass a few years back. They should have absolutely destroyed that team, but ended up having to rally in the 4th to put them away.

So again, I'm not going to be disappointed if Michigan wins something like 48-7. ESPN, Fox Sports and the B1G Network will be in full out nuclear melt down mode if that happens, but it still wouldn't surprise me. And it won't mean "Michigan sucks" either. It will mean that they are 20-something year old kids who have a big head and may need a wake up call.

                  Again. We'll see.

There is nothing to take away from this game. M will blow them out out by at least 40. That's a guarantee in my book. If you're saying it could be close you really are a fucking idiot. The debate, as Hannibal put it, is between where the final lands in the range of roughly 45-75. That's it.

This is the problem with scheduling the worst OoC I've ever seen. There is almost no way to figure out where you stand because you're not playing anything that resembles a B10 team. AND, you need to play your starters because you need to get them reps. You just can't play them a half for 3 straight games. They need the 3 quarters to get ready for the start of M's shitty but less shitty part of the schedule.

Off the top of my head, I CAN think of one instance that supports Liney's argument. On September 22, 2018 Michigan took a 39-0 lead over Nebraska in the 2nd quarter but merely coasted to a 56-10 win. Not sure what the point spread was or if Michigan covered, however.

Well-played. Speaking fo 2018, Urbs took a knee inside the 10 in the final 90 seconds instead of trying to get to 69 against HARBAUGH!!!!, which they almost surely would have got. Very classy.

That was back in days of DON BROWN!!!!! when Ohio State could actually beat HARBAUGH!!!!! I miss those days.
