It wouldn't surprise me if Michigan has a few surprising "opt-ins".

I think the Lindsey hire gives Moore an assistant that at the very least, has a better resume than Campbell did. As far as I know, this was Campbells' first appointment as a OC. He's always been a position coach before that. But, JJ McCarthy swears by him, so it wouldn't surprise me at all to see Campbell resurface somewhere, and coach QB's again, and do very well.
As far as Lindsey, I'd like to see him come in and coach Underwood the same way he'd coach a young Lamarr Jackson. Underwood is eventually going to be a guy who every time he touches the ball, can create big plays. I think we may have to grit our teeth a bit in Year 1, but after that, this kid is going to be special. Surround him with the best talent you can get, and then fasten your seat belt. The more this kid learns the game, the better he's going to be. But they can't make Underwood the "next" JJ McCarthy. That's not his game. As I said, I think the best approach will be to coach him like he's another Lamarr Jackson."The stockings were hung by the chimney with care, .. I'd worn them for weeks, and they needed the air"

Its still not official but I think there's enough chatter to say Chip Lindsey is Moore's pick to be his OC. His last gig was at UNC with recently fired HC Mack Brown. From what I'm reading, the hire isn't flashy that represents a major shift in Moore's offensive philosophy but, more a hire that's a good fit for what Moore wants to do and the offense we've been seeing for the last 3 years.
Lindsey, as an indication of offensive philosophy, heavily incorporates the downfield passing game. While limited by talent at the QB and WR positions, there was not much greater than zero downfield passing this year with Campbell at OC. That's going to change if M hits the portal hard picking the best from a long list of talented WRs that have entered the portal already.
Lindsey's offenses have been balanced between run and pass but he has rarely run plays with 12 personnel. He runs more 11 personnel plays. That is going to change with M's (Moore's) emphasis on the TE. That's an easy change. He also hasn't displayed a penchant for extra linemen in short yardage situations.
Clearly, Lindsey is going to need a good downfield passing QB with one year of eligibility ready to start or, if that QB has more than a year of eligibility, the willingness to become a backup to Underwood possibly in year one or definitely after that. Anyway, there's decent diary at mgo with a good rundown, based on his resume, of what kind of OC Lindsey is likely to be. The link below was part of that diary and is decent:

UNC’s starting QB suffered a season ending injury week 1 vs Minnesota if I remember it correctly… watching that game live. Always felt like UNC’s defense was Mack Brown’s achilles heel at UNC.
That said, nobody should give Lindsey credit for developing Drake Maye. He was a known product and a clear cut top 5 draft choice entering the 2023 season. That’s when I was posting here on the forum about being shocked how Maye didn’t transfer portal to a bigger school.
Hit the transfer portal hard at WR and I’ll feel great about the Underwood/ Lindsey offense.AAL 2023 - Alim McNeill
