Tuttle can probably run Moore's planned offense that is going to be TE and run heavy. He's not at all dynamic like JJ was when an opponent's DC understood and then could see a weakness and the called play breaks down. He's Cade McNamara but taller.
Right now, I doubt he's #1 in any of the offensive coach's minds. Probably a log jam between all four guys that are just that (as far was we've seen) guys. Not including Tuttle, M's QB room includes:- Jayden Denegal
- Alex Orji
- Davis Warren
Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.

Nobody should be expecting championships next year. I'm just hoping they can cobble together an honest passing game that keeps people from loading 8 guys in the box. The McNamara analogy is a good one. 9-3 is probably the ceiling with competent QB play.

The home schedule is pretty good. I usually opt for the first 2-3 games. The trio of Texas, Arky State, USC looks good. This may be the last year for the Scio Church lot tailgate.Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. I think it is pretty clear that M's strength in 2024 will be it's defense. Moore's pick for DC, Dan "Wink" Martindale is, for us, an unknown quantity having only coached at the CFB level for 3 years under Jack Harbaugh at WMU 2002 -2005. That experience is irrelevant, IMO. He's been compared to Dr. Blitz, Don Brown and we know how that went.
The link below is to an article that goes into a lot detail about his NFL defenses with the Ravens and the Giants. With those teams he was excellent....... when he had the players he needed to run his system. When injuries struck his defenses were terrible. The author of this article thinks M's current D roster has got the right players. They just have to avoid injury as depth issues lurk.

Mike Hart not returning as RB coach. The circumstances of his termination, reportedly by Moore, aren't clear.Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. Without Mike Hart, probably refining prediction downard from 12-0 to 11-1. Still B10 and CFP champs. But they'll slip up somehwere along the way. But with Sherrone and the incredible program HARBAUGH!!!! left him, hard to see anything but maybe 1 shocking upset.Dan Patrick: What was your reaction to [Urban Meyer being hired]?
Brady Hoke: You know.....not....good.

Is Doug still there in the back corner of that lot with his tailgating setup every Football Saturday? I haven't parked at the Scio Church lot in about 5 years (my tailgate/game bunch usually sets up our tailgate on either AAGO or the U of M golf course) and I'm overdue to drop by. I'll make it a "must-do" this coming September.
