Ron English for HC because Jim Stapleton is apparently pulling the strings!
But yeah, in reality it’s certainly Sherrone Moore IF Harbaugh leaves. Pray that Moore can carry the mantle to some extent like Ryan Day, David Shaw, Lincoln Riley, and Marcus Freeman. Born on 3rd base-like coaches.
Moore is an unknown, but I really like him as a person. TBD about recruiting and hiring a staff. Subpar Michigan NIL supposedly… who knows! Let’s just appreciate that we reached the mountain top.AAL 2023 - Alim McNeill

I'd be fine with throwing Davis in there and letting him take his lumps. No sense in getting a one year guy just so that you can go 8-4 and then be in the same position a year later. There are "win now" and "win later" yeas and next year is "win later".

I don't trust true freshman QB's, even 5-star types can be really bad. Hope they add an upperclass QB transfer at minimum. Denegal made a couple of legit passes in mop-up duty, his arm looks way better than Orji who (just looked it up) has only 1 pass attempt. Orji probably should get carries at RB next season though they did add an RB transfer who I haven't looked into yet.

Tamper Arch Manning and tell him he can start! 🤪
The QB situation a little reminiscent of 2016 and 2020.
2016, you had unknowns of Speight, Peters, O’Korn, and maybe another. 2020, you had unknowns of Milton, McNamara, and McCaffrey. The QB battles didn’t really lead to anything spectacular. No idea what to make of the 2024 QBs. Complete unknown. There really isn’t anyone good in the portal.AAL 2023 - Alim McNeill

The next 2-3 years of Michigan football are going to be whatever they're going to be. In January 2021, following the 2020 season, we thought our coach should be fired, and the program needed to start from scratch ... AGAIN. Today, we're celebrating one of the finest 3-year runs' in program history, capped by an undisputed National Championship. Some fine young men have both coached, and played for this team over the past 3 seasons. Some didn't start with us, but chose to finish their careers with us. All were part of this, and I'm proud of everyone that has worn the uniform.
Things can change either way in a hurry. Players portal in, and they portal out. Recruits commit, then change their minds. Recruits sign, sit on the bench and portal out at the end of their first season. IMO, the portal rules are going to change, with the most likely change being when and how long the portal is open.. I think recruiting rules and how they relate to NIL are going to change. Probably a few times. Shoot, college football may no longer be administered by the NCAA come 4-5 years from now. It may be a totally separate entity, with all sorts of new rules. Post season is going to change, because the bowls no longer influence the championship. Bowls are going to have a hard time promoting matchups between #13 and #18. Not a lot of money to be made there, and bowls are all about money, specifically TV money. Changes and more changes are on the way.
It is what it is now, and it will be whatever its going to be.
The only loose end to be tied up from 2023 is where Harbaugh ends up. I think that gets determined by the end of this week. So far, no presser is scheduled by the Chargers. They have said they want to interview a couple more people, and they also have to satisfy the Rooney Rule.I don't always roll a joint, but when I do, its usually my ankle

And that's just it. A lot depends on what the coaching situation is. A defending National Champion with a returning system and a lot of openings just might be VERY tempting to recruits or transfers. It might even be better than Dancing with a Third Baseman!
