It’s laughable that anyone still believes there is ANY reason the deal isn’t signed other than Harbaugh is keeping his options open. He’s been trying to get back in the NFL for 3years now.

This is from Peter Burns- ESPN
Harbaugh already knows he's done at Michigan after this year... His agent leaks this "offer" to a NFL reporter. Basically telling NFL teams, you need to contact us now before he signs this deal and tips what the asking price will be.

One really has to be tone deaf to think Harbaugh will be back in Ann Arbor to coach M's 2024 season. That he hasn't yet and won't sign a contract that's on the table is clear evidence he is, at the very least, keeping his options open. That explanation makes sense. Other talk that he'll sign and stay at M is silly.Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.

I think the X factor is the NCAA. I think if he could get a good read on what they intend to do, it'd move things along quicker. If the "knowledgable insiders" info is true that he's looking at a full-season suspension, then its a no brainer that he'd leave for the NFL. He's not going to waste a year of his life sitting in his living room watching football on TV. He's going to coach somewhere.
The 'knowledgable insiders" seem to think that the 6 games suspension(s) he's already served are meaningless. The NCAA wants more. And of course, they want him ultimately gone from the college ranks.
I doubt that NCAA sanctions will follow him to the NFL. He might get a 'stern' letter from Goodell regarding following established rules, but other than that, the NFL isn't going to be the NCAA's enforcer.
I just hope that at the end of it all we can keep at least one of Minter and'/or Moore. Ben Herbert will follow Harbaugh where-ever he is. I think Bellamy and Hart will stay unless M hires Brian Kelly. If Kelly is hired, there will be a complete overhaul of M's coaching staff. Kelly is a completely different animal in coaching from Harbaugh. Not sure if that's good, or bad.I don't always roll a joint, but when I do, its usually my ankle

I assume it’s that he isn’t exactly a fan favorite with a lot (most?) of LSU people.
He is 19-7 at LSU with a talent-laden roster, he tries to act southern and Cajun and it just comes across as fake and patronizing. Honestly, without the miracle win against Bama last year, his seat would be much hotter. Oh, and he kills kids and gets off without a nick."The problem with quotes on the Internet is that it is sometimes hard to verify their authenticity." -Abraham Lincoln

19-7 is a 9-4 coach, +\-
That’s what he’s good for at Notre Dame, too. And 9-4 or so every year is great at a lot of schools especially if you don’t mind the senseless killing of a child here and there."The problem with quotes on the Internet is that it is sometimes hard to verify their authenticity." -Abraham Lincoln
