M "wimped" out because they did not want the bandage torn off and expose that wound via discovery, depositions, etc. Plus they got the B1G to back off and they know the NCAA is inept and whatever punishment they hand out will be down the road. That's why they "wimped" out.

THIS statement sounds like the Big Ten thumping its chest, in that they made Michigan and Harbaugh back down, and kicked them in the ass as they left the room.

They. Wimped. Out.

Maybe I shouldn't be surprised. They've done this so many times before.

After a night's sleep, I've decided that I'll still support the players. They work hard to achieve their goals, and they deserve the support of the fans. I'm going to have to give more thought to whether I still support Harbaugh or not. If he bold-face lied about all this, .. well, I'll leave that for another day.

I approached the season believing it would be Harbaugh's last in Ann Arbor. Now it's a real possibility that's he's already coached is last game at Michigan. If we lose to OSU, it'll be a NY6 bowl that nobody cares about with about 15 opt-outs. There will be several NFL openings by then and he might just say fuck it and bail. But my concern is not for Jim Harbaugh, he'll be just fine. All I care about is finishing out 2023 with a win on 11-25 (and subsequent party in Indy).

Yeah, I agree Mike. He's probably got feelers out there already letting the right people in the NFL know that he's likely to bail.

I still feel like a trusted friend just turned around and sucker punched me. I was hoping that going to work might change how I feel, but nope.

I just glanced thru some other M sites, where the real adamant fans are trying to put lipstick on this pig. Its still a pig.

All along, I was so hopeful that FINALLY, someone with the resources and brain power that Michigan has, was going to take a stand against the stupid NCAA, and their lackeys in the Big Ten. They were ready to expose the way both selectively enforce the rules, and wink at the transgressions of others. We were finally going to get the real dirt out in the open for all to see.

But no.

Instead Michigan went to the Big Ten with their hat in their hand and begged forgiveness. They let the suspension stand on the foolish grounds that it stood upon, in violation of the Big Ten's own rule book. And the Big Ten turned the entire Michigan representation over their knee, and swatted them about 100 times with a 2X4. And on the way out, the Big Ten kicked them in the ass, and said "Don't do it again". The Michigan contingent meekly said 'yes sir' .. and away they went. Celebrations by the rest of the Big Ten continue today.

Now, its the NCAA's turn. Sharpen those knives, folks. Michigan will meekly accept whatever punishment you intend to dole out. Just ask Jamal Crawford.
