Michigan Football - 2025 Season.

Well, I guess Tony Titties is going to do it after all. He waits until nearly 4:00 pm EST, while Michigan's charter flight is still in the air headed to HV, with Harbaugh on board, to issue a 'three game suspension' for Harbaugh. As in the previous 'suspension', he will be allowed to coach during the week, but not allowed at games.
I've never seen a more cowardly act by a sports conference, that at one time I respected deeply. I've defended the Big Ten many times, in the faces of SEC fans especially, because I felt they were at least a bit better than all the other conferences. I felt that the Big Ten led the way in the promotion of sportsmanship, academic standards, and fair play, and just plain being a more upstanding group of universities in pretty much every way.
Not anymore. They've allowed cowardly little crybabies to take over the decision making authority of the League Commissioner, and run roughshod over their own rules, in order to get a shot at Harbaugh, a man they ALL have hated since he became Michigan's Head Coach.
Mob mentality. Mob rule. That is your new Big Ten.
And cowards. Lets not forget that. They couldn't notify Harbaugh and Michigan of their decision BEFORE he left for HV. They couldn't make the decision while the courts were open during the day today. They did it so they at least "get" him for one game.
Don't ever ask me to defend this conference again. I will refuse to do it. Michigan is still my team, and from now on, in my opinion, they are in a horrible conference. Run by cowards and bellyachers. I doubt Michigan would ever leave to become independent or join another conference, but I'd certainly not complain if they did.
At 4:16 pm EST, they're showing Harbaugh getting off the team bus with the team.
Real classy, Big Ten. Real classy. You're not punishing Harbaugh. You're punishing those kids. 18-21 year old kids. That represent your conference, and make millions for your member schools. You just did that to them.
Harbaugh can quit right now, and go on to coach again. Those players will never get these games back, with their coach at their side.
Shame.

Its a sad day, when a highly qualified man like Tony Titties lowers himself to schoolyard tactics to handle such a serious situation. Bowing to the bleatings of "coaches" and "athletic directors" who want a pound of flesh before their own rules are allowed to run their course.
Cowardly.
So they wait until almost 4:00 pm EST, to make sure no judges are still in their offices before a holiday weekend, to take their actions, knowing that Michigan's legal team will have to wait until Monday at the earliest, to take defensive actions.
Such cowards. Their case is so weak, that they know it can't withstand a rational thinking judge's decision.
Cowards.
If your league rules are so pure, and so strong, then they should be able to withstand a court challenge. But instead, a cowardly move is the 'solution' to get Harbaugh off the field for at least one game.
I've never seen such a petty, and childish bunch of so-called 'leaders' in all my life.

I stand corrected on the judge's availability thing. I just got off the phone with an attorney friend of mine, (he thinks this thing is horseshit too, and he didn't even attend M Law) and he told me that 'emergency judges' are always available, even on weekends. So, Michigan's legal team can appeal tonight if they wish.
Still, just a cowardly move by a conference I once respected. No more.
I'll still support Michigan, but not their chosen conference.
Meanwhile, Notre Dame is sitting there saying to Michigan, "Now you know why".Last edited by lineygoblue; November 10, 2023, 04:59 PM."The stockings were hung by the chimney with care, .. I'd worn them for weeks, and they needed the air"
