I went to EL for a game with Indiana. My friend Mark got tickets from a coworker whose son was on the team and he gave him a nice Indiana coat. As we were walking in some drunk Sparty girl went to high five him and then saw his coat so she boooed him. I had a good laugh at that one. From where we parked to the stadium we walked by some student houses and every driveway had a big table on it filled with booze and no one around. Sparty is checked out and has no fight in them. I’m going to the game and have absolutely zero safety concerns. Unless a Michigan fan wants to be a dick and go looking for trouble, I don’t expect there to be any. The Michigan section is well removed from the students and I expect them to be gone by halftime anyway. This will be my 3rd game in the last 5 in EL. They were all Michigan wins and there were no problems.Comment

Speaking of Michigan State, that game against Kenneth Walker was the last time Michigan lost to a Big Ten opponent. If Michigan beats Indiana and MSU, they will surpass two full calendar years without a Big Ten loss.Comment

Meh. Ohio State went 3+ years. CRD started off at well over 2 years and look at what a goddamn disaster that's turned into.
One day you're never losing conference games and the next you're hoping to fucking god you can pull out a win at Purdue.

Oh, I know! Seriously, I get pissed when folks find every little thing to nitpick about. We survived the RR/Hoke fiasco and it looked like Harbaugh was going to disappoint only to miraculously right the ship and have us performing at a historically high level. There will be a precipitous decline next year but we have 7-9 games left of the 2023 Michigan football team to enjoy and I plan to do exactly that.Comment

I'll enjoy it while its here. I don't think anyone can accurately predict where the conference is going from '24 and beyond. OSU and PSU will be the big dogs in whatever the East is, and I suspect that Oregon and USC will dominate the West. All the rest of us will just have to be content with whatever we get.
If by some miracle, we manage to keep JJ for his senior year, and Donovan hangs around, we could be looking at a ceiling of 8-9 wins, but M is going to have to beat some very good teams to get to that level. Even with the playoffs being expanded to 12, its going to be very difficult for a 3-4 loss team to qualify.
