Well, I don't disagree with your assessment of Manuel but what "fuck-up" in this instance are you talking about?Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.

Every PR crisis is handled differently, and none of them handled in any way a PR professional would advise handling them. Coverup after the Covid fuckup, too lax in the Kohl Center last year even though the Turgeon incident forecast it quite neatly, Pearson, etc. etc. Never turn a 1-day story into a 2-day story, Don Canham said. Warde just cannot learn. There is very clearly no crisis communications plan in place, which is just fucking dumb, because that guy stumbles from crisis to crisis. At some point if they can't do the right thing and fire him, the only sane move is to put a solid PR firm on retainer.

As far as Corum playing for M again, I'd say the chances are about 50%.
He'll come back to complete the deal with this team of players. The goal has been surviving and getting a shot at an NC title game. They still might if the seeds stay like they are. That means a UGA rematch. WIthout Corum, beating UGA gets a lot harder - like a 10% chance down, in my estimation of 50/50 with Corum healthy.
If things play out like I think they will with M winning the BIG, then facing TCU, they have a good chance of winning that match-up. They'll advance to match-up with UGA for the NC and lose that game with Corum on the sidelines. Corum will likely come back to complete the deal in 2023 and simultaneously improve his draft stock.Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. McNamara is a fine game managing QB. Leader of men. He can certainly lead Iowa to a Big Ten West division championship with their defense. I will be rooting for Iowa anytime they don’t play M or Purdue due to this transfer.AAL 2023 - Alim McNeill

Do RBs still have the shortest NFL lifespan? If I were him I'd just go. Maybe he's a late-round pick, but it's time to start getting paid given the finite amount of violence an NFL player's body can absorb before they're done.
IMO McNamara is a fantastic pickup for Iowa. When you have Petras, getting McNamara probably feels like getting a superstar. I wished he'd gone out of conference.

It’s funny seeing the social media reaction with this transfer. Iowa fans acting like they picked up some kind of superstar. McNamara is not.
Mac is a fine QB. He is an excellent field general, and when he passes, his throws are accurate and catchable. The current QB lineup at Iowa was none of the above. He's better by default.
I'm glad Iowa won't be on the schedule unless M meets them in Indianapolis."The stockings were hung by the chimney with care, .. I'd worn them for weeks, and they needed the air"

Senior DB Mike Sainristil will return in 2023 for a fifth year, even though he never red shirted. Sainristl will take advantage of the NCAA's Covid eligibility rule, and return for the 2023 season, instead of entering the NFL draft.

He's not going, of course,.. but never let facts get in the way of a juicy sports rumor.
