  • Curious as to whether or not he'll be coaching from the sidelines. Recruiting is low stress. Coaching on game day isn't. That's what ended Jerry Kill's HC career. He was fine outside of coaching football but would have seizures during games. If Hart is on the sidelines tomorrow even in a limited role, you can be pretty sure subsequent work-ups ruled out seizure disorder by the process of finding something else behind his collapse.

Sychope (passing out) is a common medical problem, with a frequency between 15% and 39%. In the general population, the annual number episodes are 18.1–39.7 per 1000 patients, with similar incidence between genders. The first report of the incidence of syncope is 6.2 per 1000 person-years. That's high for any medical condition. Among the causes of syncope, the mediated neural reflex, known as neurocardiogenic or vasovagal syncope, is the most frequent. Seizure is up there as a cause but much lower.

Hopefully, Hart's syncopal episode was benign and he's ready to go.
Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.

    • The last I read about him is that Fred Jackson will be the RB coach on the sideline this week, but Hart will likely be up in the booth.

        • I think this is probably Harbaugh's best team all around. Took a while but still. I'm actually experiencing a rebirth of enjoying M football without the dread os a Saturday loss and my shitty mood on the following Sunday. Saturday's win was big mostly because of how it played out. It demonstrated how objectively efficient M football is and, barring injuries or some unexpected event that falls into the high variance category, M can play on the same level of anyone in the country. It's nice that the pieces seem to be falling into place for an MNC run.

I'm not putting the cart before the horse though. PSU turns out to be no different than they were the last two seasons - basically not good. So, the convincing paving of a Franklin coached PSU team may not be as big of a deal as it seems at first glance. But man, if anyone engineered that loss for PSU, it was Frames. You've got an M team delivering a first rate run game and you scheme to play a 6 man front with a typical LB dropping into coverage. M delivered death and PSU curled up and died with nary a whimper. Collosully dumert b .... if the shoe fits, wear it.

In the link above, we see you, Illinois. Bert appears to have a solid team and, as it has been pointed out, the fat man can coach. I expect them to be a tough out. Glad its in Ann Arbor. Also per the chart, osu is it's usual death start. CRD has appeared to right the defense's ship. WIth the best QB in CFB and a NFL level receiver room, Harbaugh and Minter are going to have to come up with something on defense that can slow down osu offense and at least reduce THE GAME to a rock fight. That M actually has a fighting chance in that game is refreshingly new.

          • This team has a better OL. QB play is a bit better. “D” play is about even — maybe a slight nod to last year.

It comes down now 100% to what they do against OSU.

So we're officially doing night games year round now?

                  • Apparently. I suspect the current contract language (expires and is replaced next year) is driving the scheduling of night games. I am quite certain that the U doesn't like home night games for safety reasons. I don't think Manuel or Harbaugh care. Once any battles to have no night home games for M was lost, principals just deal as best they can with the downsides.

                    • Bo hated night games, home or away. He even hated 3:30 kickoffs, because he didn't want Michigan's fans that travel to have to get home late at night. He fought hard to keep 12:00 or 1:00 kickoff times. He was successful for a while, but then big TV bucks came along, and the rest is history.
