Please support the Forum by using the Amazon Link this Holiday Season
Amazon has started their Black Friday sales and there are some great deals to be had! As you shop this holiday season, please consider using the forum's Amazon.com link (listed in the menu as "Amazon Link") to add items to your cart and purchase them. The forum gets a small commission from every item sold.
Additionally, the forum gets a "bounty" for various offers at Amazon.com. For instance, if you sign up for a 30 day free trial of Amazon Prime, the forum will earn $3. Same if you buy a Prime membership for someone else as a gift! Trying out or purchasing an Audible membership will earn the forum a few bucks. And creating an Amazon Business account will send a $15 commission our way.
If you have an Amazon Echo, you need a free trial of Amazon Music!! We will earn $3 and it's free to you!
Your personal information is completely private, I only get a list of items that were ordered/shipped via the link, no names or locations or anything. This does not cost you anything extra and it helps offset the operating costs of this forum, which include our hosting fees and the yearly registration and licensing fees.
Stay safe and well and thank you for your participation in the Forum and for your support!! --Deborah

Mike - The walk to Kinnick Stadium will surprise you. Been to 5 games there (2 vs UM), each time dressed in full UM regalia. The whole walk we were greeted, saluted, and invited to tailgate. Many face painted Hawkeyes claimed M was their 2nd favorite team. No overly intense catcalls, spitting, or coins thrown like at Madison. Just a pleasant experience all around.
Bring your earplugs though. It is the loudest stadium you will experience. Their fans scream and holler like they've scored the game winning TD after EVERY FRICKIN' play. The last game we went to, we had a woman my wife dubbed 'Bullhorn Bertha' sitting next to us. She looked to be a hundred with a voice of equally numbered decibels. JFC, she must have taken lessons to be able to drown out aircraft with that mouth. Just sayin', be prepared.Last edited by Obi-Jon; June 24, 2022, 06:31 AM.I don't watch Fox News for the same reason I don't eat out of a toilet.

Next row is my son Charlie, his friend Matt, I think the boy in the red hat is Paul S's oldest son, and then my son Matt.
Paul S was there, but not in the pic for some reason. (Maybe he took the pic?) I believe "Entropy" joined us later.
Both "Matts" in that pic are now M alumni. They were both in HS at this time.Last edited by lineygoblue; July 3, 2022, 02:16 AM."The stockings were hung by the chimney with care, .. I'd worn them for weeks, and they needed the air"

Not since the last pre pandemic season in 2019. We tried to get him to come to a game but his son, who would have brought him there, didn't think he was up to it. Reportedly, still sharp as a tack but with mobility issues you'd expect in a person, I think he was, in his early 90s in 2019.Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.
