  • May the bridges Gattis burns light his way.

    • OTOH, it shouldn't be too difficult to find a OC candidate when they look at what's coming back. Gattis leaves for whatever his reasons are, but the guys he left behind are 100 times better than the guys he's inheriting at South Beach. Maybe he likes rebuilding projects. I agree that its likely he went to the administration seeking more money and a shot at Harbaugh's job if he left, and was told that wasn't going to happen. He figured his status as "coordinator of the year" would buy him some respect, but apparently it did not.

          • Only at Michigan can you have your best season in 24 years and it still looks like a fucking clown show.

Sometimes you fail to be clowns and good things happen. Got two years of McCarthy now, so a good time to attempt to string a few failures together.

                  • OC's come and go, the last one to stay at Michigan more than 3 years was Terry Malone 2002 - 2005 (?)

They do come and go but this falls firmly into the category of "clown show".

                            • Michigan football is near hiring its new defensive coordinator: Vanderbilt's Jesse Minter, who ran defense there, Indiana State and Georgia State.

                              • Cant say I heard of him before, know he was DB coach at Baltimore. I guess John put a good word in for Jim to hire him. Read has a good resume as a recruiter (was twice named Sun Belt recruiter of the year while at Georgia State) and experience at both the college and pro levels. That's it.
