Webb plays his cards the way he does to preserve access, but that's neither here nor there in this instance. Reporting that Harbaugh took the interview seriously and prepared for it doesn't reflect poorly or well on Michigan either way. If that's what you're calling stirring the pot, well, that's a pretty tame version if not a silly reach but he's got a business model and it's clear what that is and how it governs his behavior. A guy like that is one part of your media diet for any football fan.
Anyways, do note that he's spent his time these past two days saying mostly things that make Harbaugh look good, and not the school, and whether that fits your narrative. The true homer right now would be incentivized to carry water for the AD and for the regents and donors who are sick of Jim. Not for Jim himself, who may be on the way out of town. You might also consider the multiple times Sam's suggested racial undertones as a part of Michigan's holier-than-thou culture. Consider how that jives with your homer label.Last edited by hack; February 3, 2022, 01:01 PM.

First order of business has to be finding a great DC. I'd say Jim has a good track record of finding good assistants. I have no doubt, John will be involved again. Jim seems to need him a lot these days.
If for nothing more than continuity, I'm glad Harbaugh is back. I'd have been fine with him leaving, but for the program itself, I think its best he stays.
Not to be outdone, CRD released a statement today re-confirming his commitment to OSU. Stuff about loving C-bus, his kids' playmates, and the availability of various beers in the area. Oh, and the availability of men's grooming salons that specialize in paint-on beards. He especially likes that about C-Bus.
Sir Graves Ghastly would be envious of CRD's beard work.
Anywho, he's not leaving either. Just in case anyone thought otherwise. And he never misses an opportunity to upstage Harbaugh."The stockings were hung by the chimney with care, .. I'd worn them for weeks, and they needed the air"

For all anyone, besides Harbaugh himself, knows, his "9 hour" interview might have included a tour of Paisley Park and picking up some khakis at the Mall of America. Of course, an agent might might have kept this all under wraps, but that's Harbaugh!!!! and the frustration of dealing with him.
He may very well have been looking for a way out, or he could have just been taking another trick out of Schembechler's bag. He was pretty much offered the moon to bolt for Texas A&M in 1982, only to declare adamantly that he "... decided to stay at Michigan". It all sounded noble, but t's never been made clear how it got to the point of an offer being tendered. Of course, Canham took note and Bo ended up with a sweeter deal and incentives like Dominos franchises just to make sure it never happened again.
Bo responded by winning the Big Ten the next year and only had one (or two) down years to close out his career.
Jeff is correct that Harbaugh has dug himself a hole here. I kinda like that cockiness, but if it can be backed up or if Harbaugh is just a tool that will bury himself is going to be the story for the next couple of years.

Oh, and of course, the BTN was interviewing coaches because it was NSD so they wanted to hear about their classes. "Released a statement" -- LMMFAO.

Heh.
Dude, you're showing your age. Bill Kennedy during the week and Sir Graves on the weekend. Wonderfully tacky movie hosts!!!
I don't watch Fox News for the same reason I don't eat out of a toilet.

Leaving Michigan on national signing day for a tour of Paisley Park and a trip to the Mall of America, would be worse than an actual interview with the Vikings.Last edited by froot loops; February 3, 2022, 01:43 PM.

I do laugh at lineygoblue's outrage at the dastardly statment that Ryan Day released. After 20 years I'm beginning to suspect that lineygoblue is a little paranoid. I can guarantee you his thought bubble isn't empty after that huge slight.
I just can't believe that Ryan Day is so undisciplined to give them that kind of bulletin board material. -1

Bill Kennedy At The Movies. He showed movies that were probably 90 minutes long, but stretched them out for about 3 hours with all the commercials. Ollie Fretter likely made millions off Kennedy's shows.
