Harbaugh needs to find a DC that is MM clone - I believe that is job #1 and it has to be done without making contributors already on the D staff payroll, who won't get elevated to DC, feeling like they are not a part of the DC hiring process.

What he also needs to do is:

Job # 2...getting his contract signed including provisions in it for heavy pay-raises for M coaches and support personnel who did stick around while weird Jim left them twisting in the wind as he flew off to Minneapolis where he didn't land "the NFL job of his dreams"..... and I can't imagine why????

Job #2A .....Jim has to win back the support of his staff and players by doing good things for the people he fucked over with his trip to Mall of America for khakis.

I just read on a Vikings fan site that the interview with Harbaugh was a lot like I mentioned earlier. Harbaugh went there thinking they were going to dot a few i's, cross the t's, shake hands, and hold the presser. The Vikings informed him that he was just one of several candidates that they were considering, and gave him a standard interview.

Jim got on the plane afterward, and told Manuel he was staying at Michigan. Maybe the Vikings served him a slice of humble pie for lunch.
