Don’t take it personally, Liney.
The Connor Stallions subject is just comedy to me. If anyone brings it up, I just laugh and don’t care. It’s not a big deal at all IMO.
I feel like A&M and Michigan played a lot while Carr was coach.
Connor's set for life with Michigan "keep your mouth shut" money. But it does appear he served this year as an assistant coach for the 1-8 Detroit Mumford Mustangs.
You need to have a more useful purpose for your time. Perhaps a 10,000 word essay on how essential it is to have a healthy balance of estrogen and testosterone when procreating.
Get right on that, okay?

I just re-titled this thread for 2025. I've suddenly become interested in M 2025 football. The recruitment of Bryce Underwood and the win over OSU pulled me back in. I had lost interest during the early to mid portion of the 2024 season and was not going to participate in our ticket pool in 2025 but the team improved substantially both players and coaches. With the Underwood commitment, the 2024 recruiting class jumped to #7 after hovering in the mid-teens. I took a look at the class and you can see that the defense was a priority.
I also just learned that Underwood is enrolling early and will be able to practice with the team in preparation for their upcoming bowl. I suspect Moore will go after a QB via the portal. I saw an article recently that looked at QBs who are likely to enter the portal. Not a lot of top QBs who might be eligible were listed. I can't see Underwood starting as a true freshman and the OC spot on M's coaching roster is fluid. Campbell called a good game v. OSU but that's not hard to do when 98% of the calls made were running plays and TBH, those didn't seem to be terribly creative. An offense needs to be built around the players on the roster. I don't think that means Underwood needs to be playing in a completely revamped offense that strays from it's culture of physicality and run game. But M will need an OC that can take advantage of and scheme for Underwood's talent. I'm not confident that guy is Campbell. I'd love to see Underwood get a snap or two in the bowl game whatever that bowl turns out to be.
Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.

Its my understanding that Underwood will not be able to play in any bowl game for Michigan. He can enroll early, and practice with the team, but he can't play. Not sure if he can suit up for the game or not.

Underwood getting those practice reps would be nice though. If that’s how it works.
I’m now OK with Kirk Campbell staying with the team, but there needs to be changes. That is if Campbell truly does have an impact on recruiting, you keep him around. The offense looked great vs NW. The personnel was also hard to work with due to terrible QBs, bad WRs, and an inexperienced OLine. Do you remember how Joe Brady and Steve Ensminger worked together for 2019’s LSU offense? Campbell needs his version of Ensminger. A veteran play caller that can help the passing unit.
Attack the transfer portal hard at WR. I’m also curious if Davis Warren will return as a backup QB or should M bring in another backup QB.

I suspect you're right about that on both counts: he can't play in or suit up for whatever bowl game M plays in.

M's defense was 'good enough' this season considering it was often missing multiple DB's due to injury. Wink gets a passing grade for the season after early in-the-season blitz packages getting exploited for big plays. I'm (probably) in favor of him returning if I had to make a decision today, certainly a downgrade relative to MacDonald, Minter.
Kirk Campbell not having a Div I quarterback (or a RT that could pass protect, or a WR that could get open) made the offense very one dimensional. Campbell didn't have much to work with other than Kalel, Donovan. The offense looked serviceable the rare times when the QB's got the ball to it's receivers beyond 5 yards downfield. He's also Underwood's recruiter so there is that too.
Some talk of this being a good 7-5 season. Both a difficult B1G schedule (Oregon, Ohio State, Indiana) and a difficult OOC schedule (Texas), with wins over both its rivals make a 7-5 season feel better than it should. Losses to Washington and Illinois (both road games) were winnable if M has a 'game manager' at QB; both games M lost the turnover battle... After the Indiana game (road game) I felt M had the superior talent most everywhere but WR/QB and was without Will Johnson, game Michigan could've/should've won.
Big mistake to not bring in a QB/WR/OT in the portal, hopefully Sherrone learned from his mistakes and hits the portal hard this off-season.
