Trevor Keegan's reaction to Sherrone Moore being hired as HC.

I doubt that we're going to see any kind of mass exodus. I'm sticking with less than five.

The Moore era formally begins on State Street. I think the program is in good hands. I'm not making any rash predictions, I just think that Coach Moore will be an excellent HC, and treat the program well. He's definitely a player's coach.

I've seen some horribly vile racist comments by opposing fans on other sites that I won't even quote here. Sad that some feel they must go into that cesspool in 2024.

      • Jim Harbaugh's former Colts teammate Marshall Faulk sends warning to Chargers

Faulk made an appearance on the Rich Eisen show, and explained that playing with Harbaugh was always enjoyable because of his hard-nosed attitude, and he was not surprised that Harbaugh has been a successful coach.

“Every place he has been has improved while he has been there,” Faulk explained. “One thing he does is bring in offensive linemen and tight ends because he wants to win the battle at the LOS (line of scrimmage).

“It was a lax culture on the Chargers the last couple of years. That's about to be gone. And the guys on that team who aren't willing to sacrifice and play hard — they will be gone.”

Faulk knows that Jim Harbaugh will set a tone with the Chargers and he will not allow his players to take the easy way out.

This doesn't get talked about much - Harbaugh's toughness and how he turns his natural competitiveness into unparalleled leadership skills. Such leadership turning around loosing teams and making them winners every place he's taken a HC gig. I don't think there is any doubt that Jim Harbaugh, now a legendary Michigan HC, produced a winning culture at M that ultimately led to a National Championship. There's no question that during the time in the wilderness and even before it in Carr's last years, M football didn't have the toughness to be competitive. Even though he stumbled at first, looking back you can see he never waved the white flag, kept working, looking for solutions, found them.

Sherrone Moore appears to have the same kind of connection with M's players that Harbaugh had. That will go a long way in keeping the winning culture Harbaugh restored to the program. My only concern is that managing the entire program is going to be a challenge for Moore. There's already been some staff attrition. There may be more. How well Moore does in replacing that attrition, especially the OC and DC and not far behind that are the assistants and analysts that support them, is going to determine what M's record in 2024 is going to be. M faces three proven winners, Texas, USC and Washington in the first five games of the 2024 season (3 OOC games, 2 conference games, including away in Seattle). What the team looks like under their new HC is going to be revealing.

Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.

            • I caught the tail end of the presser. Ben Herbert was there. Some thought that might mean he's decided to stay, but others say he's already told the team he's leaving with Harbaugh. Also, Minter supposedly told the defense yesterday that he's following Harbaugh. No surprise, but still disappointing to lose those guys.

Moore said he's going to hand off play calling to his OC, whomever that is. He said he's been in contact with potential candidates for vacant positions.

2024 is going to be a gauntlet for a new coach. Maybe its a good thing that expectations will be low.

                • Moore said, "I have a pretty good idea .... (of who the OC will be). Not betting on this as there could be a dark horse but I hear Kirk Campbell's name for OC more than anyone else.

                  • I'm a bit surprised that Hart might be considering it. I thought he'd want to stay and continue to build his resume for a HC position. Maybe even the Michigan HC should Moore tap out.

Oh well... maybe he thinks the NFL is a better gig.

Looks like he's gonzo, but no indication as to where.

Did he really think that he'd get serious consideration for the HC job?

Well looking at Mike Hart on X right now.

His profile pic is a current photo with him in a Michigan jacket. And the background photo is of an overhead shot of the Big House in a maize out night game.

I hope he's staying with Michigan.
