Worst that will happen, is that if the NCAA doesn't punish Michigan enough (in the eyes of the Big Ten) then the conference will add more punishment. Probably more suspensions for Harbaugh and members of his staff.
i read that in a Regents meeting this week, the topic of leaving the conference actually came up. Now, these people are your wine and cheese folks, who are the upper crust of M supporters, who usually don't sully themselves with trivial matters like sports and coaches. These bluebloods actually talked about leaving the conference.
Now, that's not happening. Nada. There is just way too much money on the line to even consider leaving the conference. Its the reason why schools like Rutgers, Penn State and Maryland stay in the conference, and why USC, UCLA, Oregon and Washington are on the way. Money. And nobody can make more money anywhere else. So, no .. I'm not saying its happening.
BUT .. to have that topic even come up among the bluebloods, I guess that shows just how angry folks are within Michigan's leadership right now. Its going to get worse before it gets better.

Michigan filed for a TRO in Washtenaw County 22nd District Court tonight. Not sure when a decision will be made.
The judge assigned to the case is Timothy Connors, who is also a lecturer for the Michigan Law School.

If it were up to ME, .. I'd not only have Michigan leave the conference, but I'd also declare a 6-7 year moratorium on scheduling Big Ten teams for ANY sport at Michigan. Just for spite, I might give that team in South Bend a call, and see if they'd like to take OSU's place at the end of each season.
