Sam Popper has been hired as Michigan's assistant director of recruiting. Michigan moving forward after the controversial Shemy Schembechler hire and subsequent dismissal. And it’s someone with requisite experience as well as familiarity with the program. Popper departed in 2019 and has since had a bit of a journey. Popper departed initially for Oregon, where he served as the assistant director of recruiting. He was then the director of player personnel at Akron before accepting the director of recruiting position at Memphis, a role he served in since February.

Just to be clear ..... checks notes ...... Haskins plays for the NFL Tennessee Titans he's not on M's roster; he was taken in the 4th round of the 2022 NFL draft (#131 overall) by the Steelers. When I saw this, I did not remember when he left M. I don't think he got his degreeMission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.

He had a great senior year at Michigan, that's for sure. I still have problems wrapping my head around why guys think its okay to beat up on a woman.
Its much more satisfying to simply walk away and refuse to argue with her. At least in my experience."The stockings were hung by the chimney with care, .. I'd worn them for weeks, and they needed the air"

Oh, and I'm back online following my lightning incident. My son is letting me use his laptop until my new computer arrives.
Lightning struck a tree right outside my living room window on Thursday morning, right after my little exchange with Talent. It was a huge explosion, and basically blew the tree to pieces. It knocked our electricity off, and tripped my main breaker in the house. But it still killed my desktop computer and (I have no idea why) our washer. Of all things.
Anyway, I'm back, whether you knotheads like it or not."The stockings were hung by the chimney with care, .. I'd worn them for weeks, and they needed the air"

In some "sky is falling" news, some are suggesting that Sherrone Moore may be a top candidate for the vacant Northwestern job.
https://detroitsportsnation.com/mich...cxNO12Cy3ijpXw
Personally, I doubt that Moore would want to take over a HC job with fall practice being less than a month away. He'd have to do a lot of scrambling to get up to speed with NW's roster and implimenting his program. He'd have to hire assistants away from other programs, .. there's a lot to do in a very short time.
I suppose he could take it if offered, but I'm thinking he'll wait for a better opening. NW can't be very active in NIL.
As for Fitzgerald, I think he'll evenutally end up in the NFL. NW is going to have to settle the remainder of his contract, and he could live on that for a while."The stockings were hung by the chimney with care, .. I'd worn them for weeks, and they needed the air"
