I don't think those things have changed. I dread a coaching search without a clear vision and with muddled objectives.Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.

According to Ross, he's not likely to check in on Jim Harbaugh. He said this in his press conference today after the firing of Flores was announced (seemed amicable).
“We’re going to do a thorough review and interview process,” said Ross, a Michigan alum who recently saw the Wolverines play at Hard Rock Stadium in the Orange Bowl and College Football Playoff semifinal on Dec. 31. “I’m not going to be the person that takes Jim Harbaugh from the University of Michigan. I hope he stays there. He’s a great coach.”
TBC, I don't doubt one bit that Ross has spoken with Harbaugh since M's OB loss. Ross was there and the Harbaughs, all 3 of them, are tight with the Ross family.Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. I believe Ross when he says he won't be the one that takes Harbaugh away from Michigan. Harbaugh will not coach the Dolphins as long as Ross owns them.
I truly believe the only way Harbaugh leaves, is if he gets stonewalled by the university when it comes to NIL, and keeping up with the big spenders. If M refuses to get into that, then I can see Harbaugh leaving. If M goes along, he's staying. He wants to at least compete for talent with the big boys. He won't go into recruiting/NIL with his hands tied.
Finally, the best source to listen to when it comes to Harbaugh possibly leaving is John Bacon. He was the only sportswriter nationwide, who had the whole story correct from start to finish when Harbaugh came to Michigan. He knows all the Harbaugh family, and speaks with them all the time. Any other 'insider' is just blowing smoke."The stockings were hung by the chimney with care, .. I'd worn them for weeks, and they needed the air"

The transition was poorly thought out, failed to recognize that a "hillbilly" (my characterization deserved or not) and his wife in white go-go boots were a poor fit for Ann Arbor culture and the Michigan football program - with all it's strap hanger alumni and former players/coaches wanting to get high-ups ears and be influencers. Then we had Dave Brandon, M's worst AD in my life time and probably history and the Hoke disaster.
