  • Oh, and 2021 versus Ohio State, that was pure bully-ball. If Ohio State fans want to cope and sleep better at night by telling themselves that Michigan only won by stealing their signs, by all means, do whatever you gotta do.

But in reality we know that was pure, utter domination on the lines. Michigan could have told Ohio State what run play they were running and Ohio State still wouldn't have been able to do anything about it.

    • Now this is admittedly different than what Michigan is accused of, but nonetheless, some good insight from Matt Rhule on sign-stealing.

Nebraska's Matt Rhule on sign stealing during his weekly Monday press conference, Monday, Oct. 23, 2023, at Memorial Stadium in Lincoln. Produced by Nikos Fr...

He basically says that if college football as a whole didn't vote against mic'd helmets then all of this would be moot. And that he has no problem with sign-stealing and that everyone does it.

      • "There's no competitive advantage to be had in using a team of videographers to steal signs in opponent stadiums. That's why we've paid this man for years and used his guys over 30 times: for absolutely no benefit"

        • I haven't seen anyone say "absolutely no benefit". I've seen an expert who played in the NFL for the greatest sign stealer of all time say that the best case scenario is it would help a team 3 plays a game. Again, that is best case. 3 plays.

            Well he ACTUALLY said this:

"But that's sign stealing. I would not carry that over to filming someone else's practices or something like that. Or filming someone else's game. That's completely something different. And I'm not saying that happened....Sports needs rules. Sports needs rules to keep competitive balance. And someone does something against the rules we say 'Should that really even be a rule?" And it is the rule. That's the rule. Like we don't get 5 downs. But in game stealing of signs...is part of the game...But if there's a rule the rule should be followed and I'm not speaking about what's happening right now because I don't know what happened. But if that is happening somewhere then that's completely completely wrong."

So, Rhule basically said what we all know -- fliming someone's games is not something everyone does and it's against the rules and we need rules. So, yeah. No shit. Thank you, Coach Rhule for saying if someone is filming someone else's games that's "completely completely wrong."

Dan Patrick: What was your reaction to [Urban Meyer being hired]?
            Brady Hoke: You know.....not....good.

            • Yep. Lots of people saying things we all know. Like Michigan pummeled OSU on both lines the past two years. Battered, beaten, and bruised is how OSU left the field. Mostly because Michigan was just much MUCH tougher than the Buckeyes were. Everyone knows this.

              • I absolutely love this shit. I think it makes Michigan even more dangerous to be honest. Not that they needed extra motivation -- but now you have a bunch of dorks from their couches saying that the only reason they won football games the past 2-plus years is because of a low level staffer recording sidelines in open view with a damn iPhone, lmao.

They're going to be out for blood for the rest of this season. And I'm here for it.

Harbaugh could have literally walked over to Ohio State's sideline in 2021 and handed him the exact play they were going to run, and they still wouldn't have been able to stop it.

                  • It's also great that OSU fans are building in the excuse for Third Base to lose his 3rd straight to Michigan. It was such an unfathomable thought just 18 months ago and now all they can do is grasp for coping mechanisms.

                    • Saw on Michigan Twitter earlier today something along the lines of: What plays did Michigan steal last year? The tackle Donovan play? LOL

                      • Yeah it's a syringe full of cope that they're feverishly injecting into their veins to make themselves sleep better at night with what has happened the past two seasons and change

Here's what Deion had to say about it:

                        • It's really quite telling that almost everyone "in the know" downplays it as no big deal. It plays perfectly, however, with shattered fanbases.

                          • All it took for Deion Sanders to become a "respected voice" around here is to mumble something that sounds like a defense to Michigan's BRAZEN cheating lol

                            • Why did they suspend Captain Stalions and why did he wipe all of his social media if this was a nothing burger? That seems like the actions of a guilty man participating in a coverup. I'm sure when the NCAA investigators speak with Jim Harbaugh he will have a perfectly truthful answer to set everyone straight.

See you November 25. It would have been better for you all had this report come out after the season, because then you could get yourself to sleep at night by convincing yourself Michigan only won because they stole your signs.

Now you won't have any excuses for what's coming November 25.
