The tradition continues.
That includes a Fiesta Bowl win over Nebraska, three Rose Bowl victories (USC, Wash, WSU), and an Orange Bowl over Alabama.
Moeller went 4-1 in bowl games and Lloyd went 5-2 against the SEC.Last edited by Mike; August 27, 2023, 03:55 PM.

Liney, you suffer from bad news bias when it comes to M football. See Mike's post above. TBF, I don't blame you. We all still wait for the other shoe to drop or the always expected dong punch.Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.

Mike - you nailed it for my memory. I knew that there was some success at one time, but since all those were considered 'insignificant' bowls, I'd pretty much forgotten them too. I guess all those Rose Bowl losses impacted my memory more than the others."in order to lead America you must love America"

I REALLY want to get excited about this year's team, but I can't help but think that dong punch is waiting somewhere, where it shouldn't happen. (Hello Nebraska?)
I'm a bit nervous about the air around this team when I see them in pressers. It reminds me of the time back in the late 90's (1999?) when Purdue and Drew Brees came to Ann Arbor, basically expecting to roll over Michigan. To see the Purdue players in their interviews, they talked about how tough they expected Michigan to be, but they were talking with a smirk on their faces, like they were reading from a script. They didn't believe what they were saying. They expected to romp over Michigan. Well, when the game was played, Michigan kicked their ass, and old Drew Brees was left searching for answers.
I've seen those same smirks on the faces of some Michigan players, and I'm a bit concerned about it. They better be ready to play every week, and not discount anyone. Including East Carolina.

Laying a rotten egg against TCU and dealing with NCAA malarky will be enough motivation to get them through September unscathed and prepare them for all of the "Go Green.." and "This is Sparty's superbowl" dickwadery. They'll be fine at least into November.
