Stifle. It’s not everyday you get to hear first hand accounts of the 1893 Nebraska - Iowa game. I, for one, find Jeff’s ability to recall those events nothing short of astonishing.
What would happen if 1908 Michigan played 2022 Michigan? We wouldn't even want to see. The kids from today would destroy those teams. We have kids playing today who are 6'7" and 300 lbs, that can run a sub 6 second 40. Running backs and DB's are running 4.2 and 4.3 which is world class. Nobody was that fast back in those days.
But it was still college football, in whatever state or stage it was. And the wins (and losses) all counted. And they count today.
Eventually several CFB teams will reach that 1000 win plateau. Some will take longer than others. Hopefully Michigan reaches that in 2023.
