College games seem to be front-loaded with commercials. Networks and advertisers seem to load more commercials in the first half rather than the 2nd. We've seen first halves begin at Noon, and they don't get to halftime until nearly 2:00 pm. But yet, they'll find a way to get the game over real close to 3:30 pm, so that the 2nd game can kick off on time. Point being, the length of games is best controlled by what advertisers do, and how the networks divide up commercial time. Its not going to be affected by running the clock on first downs like the NFL does.
The only other real change that the rules could affect is how much time is allocated to video reviews. They've got to stop nit-picking videos for 5-8 minutes before rendering a decision. I still believe that when the WH puts on the headset on a review, a clock should start ticking off 60 to 90 seconds to come to a decision. If a decision cannot be made before the clock goes off, then whatever was called on the field should stand. Right or wrong. And let the fans see the clock that times the review. Don't let it be something that only the zebras can see. Make it transparent.
But, they'll never do that. The NCAA is all about nit-picking."in order to lead America you must love America"

Ann Arbor Police
@A2Police
On 2/22/23 at approximately 8pm in the middle of the ice storm Ofc Howard Cooper was at Devonshire and Londonderry to remove a large tree that was blocking the road when a van pulled up. The driver then parked and got out of the vehicle.
Ann Arbor Police
To the surprise of Ofc Cooper, the good Samaritan was
@CoachJim4UM who wanted to help clear the road. Ofc Cooper then gave Coach a pair of work gloves and the two of them went to work.

You know, I've actually complimented this kid after the last two M v OSU games, because I thought he made some good throws, and I also felt that OSU lost to Michigan for more than just quarterbacking. I'd say failing to tackle Hasan Haskins and Donovan Edwards played a significant role.
But that being said, is this guy for real?
I know this will upset some of the OSU folk in here, but I'm sorry... he has not been the best player in CFB for the last two years.
Just no."in order to lead America you must love America"

The best CFB player last two years is the little guy down in Bama. And if Young was 6'1 he would be a slam dunk #1 pick and the Bears would be trading Fields.2012 Detroit Lions Draft: 1) Cordy Glenn G , 2) Brandon Taylor S, 3) Sean Spence olb, 4) Joe Adams WR/KR, 5) Matt McCants OT, 7a) B.J. Coleman QB 7b) Kewshan Martin WR

I would take him ahead of Young. I don't much care. The Stillers aren't choosing and my OSU allegiance stops the minute they the go to the NFL. But, I think he's better than Young. *IF* any number of things go OSU's way against Georgia, they win, then obliterate TCU and his legacy is a little different. But, such is life. As it is, he departs Ohio State after having the worst back-to-back team seasons since 2004-05 (It could obviously be 2011 and anything, but 2010 and 2012 were good years).
Anyway, he's going to the NFC. And the Stillers have Pickett's Charge.
:::weeps:::Dan Patrick: What was your reaction to [Urban Meyer being hired]?
Brady Hoke: You know.....not....good.

I would take Young first, without a doubt, but it’s not like it’s some wide chasm between the two. I like Bryce’s unflappable mentality, but the stats and success quotients are pretty similar."The problem with quotes on the Internet is that it is sometimes hard to verify their authenticity." -Abraham Lincoln
