It sure does look to me like Warde's a dead man walking. Juwan doesn't like him much either, although Juwan's word carries far less weight if any at all. It's clearly time for a new AD.

I don't think Ono has the cajones to outright fire Warde. It's also unrealistic to think he's going to find himself out on the street. It's possible that "a moving on to new opportunities" type of thing could happen but only if Ono has the connections elsewhere to make that happen.
Just looking at Jim's history with management while he was HC at SF suggests he can be prickly sometimes out of the blue. Connecting the dots in this one though suggests, A: Warde and Jim don't get along and B: that's a terrible circumstance for JH and Ward. JH, and rightfully IMO, thinks he's not being recognized for his accomplishments in '21/'22 and gets prickly about it. OTH, Warde wants to assert his authority in determining the outcome of any negotiations between the two of the, as in, have the upper hand. That's a bad combo in a dispute like the one that is probably brewing.
The Regents are also a critical aspect in what we might think is going on within the U. There were reports of some follow-on, generally supportive tweets, from Regents after Ono's and Harbaugh's tweets. I'd think at this point the deciders are trying to figure out what the U needs to do to get Harbaugh to sign without emasculating Manuel ..... probably after an appropriate cooling off period. The weekend?
So, it's late Friday and we've not heard a peep from either side. We probably won't until next week and meanwhile current players along with signed and unsigned recruits are left spinning in the wind. Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.

Rumors:
There are multiple reports from different sources saying Ono may be the one to end this mess. Warde used the allegations to lowball JH initially on a new contract. Again, I try to take all this info with a boulder of salt, but when it’s coming from multiple sources I think you have to at least consider it could be true. Apparently, Ono involved and overruled Warde. Ono knows Harbaugh and Michigan football are the tail that wags the dog of Michigan athletics
7 years for 100 million
Will include salary increases for all assistants, basically making it so none will leave unless they become power 5 head coaches or take a pay cut to coach at another school.

Now that would be a ballsy offer if its true."in order to lead America you must love America"

If that offer comes to pass and Harbaugh inks it that would be outstanding news. All of a sudden the coaching carousel ends at Michigan. The kids can sign on knowing unless their becomes a P5 HC or retires he is going to be there forever.
The benefits might have been worth all of this drama.2012 Detroit Lions Draft: 1) Cordy Glenn G , 2) Brandon Taylor S, 3) Sean Spence olb, 4) Joe Adams WR/KR, 5) Matt McCants OT, 7a) B.J. Coleman QB 7b) Kewshan Martin WR

A tad confused about why people are saying the One More Year program is 4 for 4. It doesn't seem to be meant for just those four. I would have preferred to get either of Green or Turner back than some of the OL, as wonderful as they have been. But without question it's great to see Michigan's NIL powers start to grow. I did expect that it would, over time. And I did expect that Warde Manuel would be a major obstacle to get around.

Not too confident in the pass rush, maybe the Coastal Carolina transfer (Josaiah Stewart) can get to the QB, maybe Derrick Moore can, maybe Braiden McGregor can, maybe Jaylen Harrell can. I think they'll need to rely on blitzing their LB's more than they like. Gemon Green (and DJ Turner) leaving hurts corner #2, an area that already was thin in underclassman talent. McBurrows was hyped a lil bit but missed nearly the entire season due to injury.
