Kris Jenkins was anticipated to be the other starting DT next to Mazi Smith. If Graham is starting, it might mean that Jenkins is injured. Hopefully not for long. I can't think of any true freshman DTs that we have had that have ever been good contributors.I would have expected that guy who transferred in from Central Florida to be higher on the depth chart too.
Sainristil will also be starting as the nickel CB. I don't think that we need to worry about him.
This is the most transparency from the submarine that I've seen since JH became HC. This is an abbreviated transcript from John Jansen's interview with Harbaugh in his weekly, "in the Trenches" pod cast. It's very upbeat but, for me, it's still just talk and camp/player hype. It will get beyond that if the players and coaching staff deliver and M rolls CSU and then HI.
Refreshing and unexpected clarity from Jim Harbaugh! #GoBlue
Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.
I can't disagree with that or the implied likelihood that M will score a lot of points and HI won't.
But these are still mostly 20yo playing high stakes CFB. Intangibles play a big part in the outcomes of games like these. Variance plays a roll..... a muffed punt by a guy who has been fielding them with ease in practice, blown coverage from a D that has "looked better than the 2021 M Defense," an unexpectedly porous OL that stymies the run game and keeps pressure on McNamara, a scoop and score fumble recovery from a big hit on an open field runner. None of those things would be expected but it's an opening game with players amped to the moon and a mostly untested set of coaches on the sidelines - do they have their shit together or don't they? If there's confusion among the sideline coaches, miscommunications between the press box and the sidelines under pressure, albeit self inflicted, what impact does that have on the players.
This is Michigan football. Dong-punching, unexpected shit has happened - a lot.

You're right, Jeff. Harbaugh hasn't ever talked about depth charts before. Not only did he put it out there, he went into detail. I'm not sure what is going on with Harbaugh, but so far, this version seems to be better. Maybe he's ate some humble pie after his NFL flirtation.
The clowns at ESPN College Game Day unanimously picked Hawaii over Vandy and two of three picked NU over NfW. Maybe they should take their picking skills to one of the on-line betting sites.
I don't watch Fox News for the same reason I don't eat out of a toilet.

I didn't watch Game Day, but I heard that Corso had a lot of problems. I like the guy just for his buffoonery, but this may be the time he needs to retire.
Vandy in Honolulu beat Hawaii by 53 points and it could have been much worse. 601 total yards and Vandy pulled back in the 4th.
Michigan playing Hawaii in Ann Arbor will be a bloodbath.
Your first three games will be absolute murders: Colorado State, Hawaii, and UConn are three of the worst teams in Division 1.
Honestly, you have a 4-game season: Iowa, Penn State, Michigan State, and Ohio State and as I said before, I fully expect you to dominate and be undefeated going into The Game.

I still think one of Iowa, MSU or PSU will be Michigan's "oh s#!t" game.
MSU and PSU both have excellent QB's returning, which has historically been Michigan's achilles heel. Iowa is at Kinnick, at night. M doesn't win those.
And if Ohio State and Michigan are 11-0 going into The Game, it will easily be the biggest and most-watched game of the regular season. Just a monster game. Must-see TV, as they say. Nothing else will even be close - outside of Texas A&M at Alabama, but even that will be a distant second.
Alabama should be 11-0 heading into the Iron Bowl, but Auburn will likely be 6-5, which lull take most of the shine off of non-partisans tuning in.
