Whoa. University of Michigan Board of Regents has removed Dr. Mark Schlissel as President of the University of Michigan, effective immediately. Mary Sue Coleman will take over as Interim President, have a drink...on me.
The University of Michigan Board of Regents has unanimously fired school President Mark Schlissel for cause following an investigation into a relationship with a subordinate, the board announced Saturday evening.
In a letter to Schlissel posted on the school website, the board spelled out its concerns and said his conduct was "particularly egregious considering your knowledge of and involvement in addressing incidents of harassment by University of Michigan personnel, and your declared commitment to work to 'free' the University community of sexual harassment or other improper conduct."

Jesus it never stops. Harbaugh to the Gaints now, lol Maybe he just wanted to see Schlissel go down in flames first. It was no secret Harbaugh and him were not exactly buddies, Schlissel would not even have a requested meeting with Harbuagh (?), but ill have no comment on that. Football was not a priority to him.

Sure, there's still a possibility and I am 90% certain that Jim hasn't signed a contract with M yet because he wants to hear what the NFL has to offer him and it's not money, it's control. He seeks the same thing from M.
For me, whoever offer's Jim the most certainty that he will have the kind of control he deems necessary for him to win championships is going to sign him. All the soft stuff - getting a new car, bringing Elston aboard (and he's not signed a contract yet that I know of) and the thought these are indicators that Harbaugh is staying at M really mean little other than a reflection of our addiction to hopeium.
With MSC - a big football fan and program supporter - back in charge at the U, that's a game changer. Schlissel, it turns out, was a real sleazy douche bag. I was marginally aware he and Harbaugh weren't buddies but I have a sense it went beyond that and involved Schlissel and a couple of regents aligned with him. He gone ...... good.
We should know something in the coming weeks, maybe days.
Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.

This what I said:
The strongest rumors are HARBAUGH!!!! to the Raiders -- if you actually buy the NFL shit. So, they can't hire him until they lose. If HARBAUGH!!!! doesn't re-up with M this week then I'd say he's probably gone. I'd be really, really, really suprised if he bolted.
I'm a little surprised he hasn't re-upped with M, yet, but my opinion is that I'd still be shocked if he left. And, to reiterate, I hope to fuck he comes back.
We should know something in the coming weeks, maybe daysDan Patrick: What was your reaction to [Urban Meyer being hired]?
Brady Hoke: You know.....not....good.

Schlissel probably approved of others in similar situations being fired, so what's good for the goose is good for Schlissel too. Bye.
MSC was a huge supporter of M athletics when she was there. Moreso than Schlissel. I don't know how long it will take to get Schlissel's permanent replacement, but MSC could still be sitting in the Prez's chair when it comes time for Harbaugh to either sign or bolt. I don't think that time has arrived yet. My guess is that time will arrive within 2 weeks after the Super Bowl.
I think Harbaugh stays, and I want him to. I think he's finally got a good mix with his assistants, and they are part of the reason behind the success of 2021. I think he's happier as a CFB coach, but that's just my opinion."in order to lead America you must love America"

Never seen a scenario like this one, the pendulum keeps swinging back and forth. NFL back in the picture, meanwhile Harbaugh keeps on recruiting & hiring assistants? All the while appears to be leading NFL teams to believe that he'd leave for the right situation?
The newest is Kirk Cambell named as Offensive Analyst. Came from Penn State where he was a offensive analyst for 3 years worked with Gattis (not sure how many seasons). Prior to that he was at Alderson Broaddusas the Offensive Coordinator, Tiffin (WR/TE), and started out at as a grad assistant as a WR/TE for West Virginia Wesleyan.
His most recent stop was at Old Dominion where he was the QB/OC coach for them. There team actually beat Charlotte at the end of the year to get them bowl eligible ( then got fired) and lost to Tulsa in their bowl game.
If he does leave, Gattis is the new HC. 70/30 now he stays.Last edited by WingsFan; January 19, 2022, 01:18 PM.
