    Any questions?
Exactly. Once you determine who the 1 seed is (which we all knew prior to yesterday would be the winner of the SECCG), you then match them up with the weakest of the 4 teams. Just like a standard bracket in every sport known to mankind. That leaves UGA and Michigan in the middle. At that point they only thing left to determine with regard to the 2/3 game is jersey color.

I don't think Michigan is as good as either AL or GA. I think on a good day, they might be able to pull off a win over either, but not both back to back. That is why I had hoped that M would have jumped to #1 so that they would only have to play one of them. Of the two, I think GA is more beatable, but I am not optimistic.

Of course, I thought that they'd get railed by Ohio State too, so what the fuck do I know?

Maybe I'm insane but I am confident that Michigan can (and will) beat Georgia. I think they'll be in the National Championship game.

Georgia getting shredded by Alabama definitely makes this game look less terrifying than it looked last week when we were hoping that we would meet them in the final. We can't do what Alabama does, but maybe they found some big weaknesses that we can still exploit.

God knows we have seen supposedly impenetrable Michigan defenses get exposed late in a season and get shredded in multiple consecutive weeks, thanks to the stuff that previous teams put on film.

I still don't love our DTs and I worry about getting thumped up the middle by Georgia's running game. Our run defense has had a few bad games and Georgia has excellent RBs.

I agree with the DT comment, Hanni but what was a clear weakness in August based on what we knew about the DT rotation, hasn't panned out to be a major problem - KWIII was a problem but I think that had more to do with scheme and him bouncing outside as the D lost contain trying to funnel him.

MacDonald has faced some teams with good RBs and run offenses. Rush D numbers are pretty solid and that's because whatever he does with his LBs and Ss is making it hard for OL's to figure out how to block M's front effectively. I think UGA is going to be faced wit the same problem. You stop UGA's run game, put the offense on Bennett's back facing Ojabo, Hutchinsin and whoever is the guy that's going to get a free run at him between the LBs CBs and Ss, I like that match-up.
Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.

For a lark, I looked into tickets on the secondary market for this game. I toyed with the idea of trying to make the trip to Miami. Secondary tickets are already at $900+ for upper deck end zone. The market is insane. I think I'll be staying home and watching on TV instead ;)

Yeah a friend & I were thinking about going if they came to Dallas (which they aren't now as we know). I'm kinda glad to be honest -- otherwise I'd be looking at spending who knows how much. Them going to Florida probably saved me a grand. Or more.

We did the watch party thing the other night at a Michigan watch party bar in Dallas -- it was packed full of Michigan fans, in fact it was overflowing with UM fans by the time the game began. Dozens were standing because there were no seats left. Idk man, I don't know if I want to do it again. It was super loud and it was hard focusing on the game. In fact I missed a lot of the 2nd half because we had a non-UM friend/acquaintance show up and I ended up talking with him quite a bit when I should have been locked in on the game. The parade of drinks didn't help either as we had a steady line of beers and scotches coming.

Long story short I'd much rather be at home locked in on the game where I can really focus on it. I know a few more that want to go back for the CFP since Michigan made it, but New Year's Eve, at that bar and in that part of town (which is an extremely vibrant part of town) would be ten times as insane. Think I'm going to pass on that.

This is going to be one of the most watched college games of all time.

It will have a lot of interest for sure but I think being in prime time on NYE will depress the numbers a bit.

Yes it will, people will do their celebration for the NY, and its a couples night for the most part. Fine with me, never liked it myself. Ill stay home and watch.

I don't have a problem with the four teams that made the playoff, but I'm annoyed that it seems like the committee is once again hell bent on allowing for every opportunity to have an all-SEC championship game yet again.
