Ok, I will post something legit here after soaking this incredible sports moment in …

    G:
    - M beating Ohio State.
    - M beating Ohio State in this moment. Losing 15 of 16 to OSU. OSU’s streak since 2011. OSU’s B10 streak. This is the first championship feel win for M football that I have personally ever witnessed given age. B10 championship on the line. Ryan Day undefeated against B10 opponents. All of the hate on Harbaugh. M football fans needed this lift.
    - Jim Harbaugh. Congrats. Well deserved. The actual Ted Lasso experience. Quite the comeback story. HARBAUGH.
    - M coaching staff. Gattis, MacDonald, Moore, Hart, etc. A lot of position units shined yesterday.
    - Mike Hart. I will focus on one assistant coach in particular. Hart gave me confidence as a fan. Swagger in the hire to bring Hart back home from Indiana. It’s why I had the confidence to pick M to win is most predictions this season. RB unit is the best in college football.
    - McNamara. Such a badass at QB. The confidence and leadership. One bad decision yesterday, but he bounced back and made several good plays.
    - Haskins. MVP like performance. So tough. Thunder!
    - Corum/ Edwards. Few big plays yesterday that helped!
    - M OLine. This unit deserves praise. Showed up in the biggest game and played like the best OLine in college football.
    - M WRs. This unit has grown so much since Bell went down. Wilson, Corn Johnson, Anthony. Even Sainristil… the guy I didn’t like… made a big turnaround.
    - Hutchinson. The man. Came back to M to defeat Ohio State and delivered. One of my favorite M football players in recent memory… or ever? Hutch will be PAID in the NFL.
    - M defense as a whole. Did really well considering Ohio State came in as a Death Star offense. Countless future 1st RD WRs. Yet, the M defense held many times… unlike Don Brown’s defense in the last two matchups. Weather helped, but it’s part of playing in the B10 conference.
    - M CBs. This unit held it’s own. Think about what these same CBs did vs MSU in 2020. Now? Not embarrassed vs Ohio State?? I’ll take it. Vincent Gray in particular.
    - JJ McCarthy. Made 2 or 3 really nice plays yesterday. My confidence in him is bouncing back.
    - Vegas. I heard that Vegas won a ton of money because 90% of the bets were on Ohio State or something. Ha.
    - B10 Championship opportunity. I care a little, but if M shows up flat vs Iowa and loses… oh well. M already won the championship in my mind. Anything else is sprinkles on top of the mountain of icing on top of the cake.

    B:
    - Cade INT. Made this game closer than it should have been in the 1st half. Cade did bounce back!

    U:
    - Nothing.

I don't have much to add, but...

The damn fight on the goal line could have been a disaster.

Good Lord. The ball is on the one yard line and the players don't have the sense not to risk a 15 yd penalty that would have made it 1st and goal from the 16 rather than 1st and goal from the one at a crucial point in the ballgame? Harbaugh was losing his shit and it was rightfully directed at his players.

The whole time I was screaming at the TV and was shocked that the only penalty was on the Ohio State kid.

I get it. Emotions and all that, but man. That is the kind of shit that could completely change the game.

And of course, Fucking FOX is too busy showing the crowd or band or cheerleaders or some other shit to catch the beginning of it. I hate FOX and their over produced bullshit.

I forgot about that goalline scrum. Could have been ugly if the penalty was on M.

Yes, the FOX broadcast was ugly during the game at times. Not showing certain replays. I do appreciate the post game broadcast in how they showed the celebration for a good 30 to 40 minutes. Much appreciated there.

          Agree on the post game.

FOX has always been over produced. They are in such a hurry to cut away to show you the "excitement" that they often miss the end of plays. I get it. The crowd is part of the game, but FFS don't show me the crowd at the expense of missing what is happening on the field. FOX does that all too often.

Totally agree, guys. Fox coverage is the Homer Simpson of TV sports. They don't have a clue. Fans want to see what's happening on the field, not some big bare-bellied fatso showing off his gut in the stands. (hmmm.. that hits close to home ... )

Anyway, I miss the days of the old ABC TV broadcasts with guys like Jim McKay and Keith Jackson. Shoot, even Brent Pus-berger would be better than some of those Fox morons...

              what am I saying???!!!!!

I'll still take Fox over Disney, but that gap has definitely narrowed in the last couple of years.

ESPN still fucks up commercial breaks. They did it again yesterday. They missed a missed FG by Penn State. They have been doing it for 25 years.

You can bet that was a topic of discussion in the locker room at halftime.

Yeah, they can't let stuff like that happen. I realize that M has had a lot of pent-up frustration with OSU, and they not only wanted to win, but they wanted to send a message that they were fed up with the crap they've taken from them and their fans for years now. They have to keep those emotions in check so that it doesn't hurt the team.

That what how Bo coached "the game", as did Woody Hayes. Those Bo/Woody teams would rip at each other for 60 minutes, and RARELY was there a UC or unnecessary roughness call. They hit each other hard, but clean, and both coaches prided themselves on that. They never allowed it to get dirty. Both coaches would have benched any kid that got out of line, and hurt the team.

I'd like to think that this begins an era where Michigan stands in OSU's face and makes every down tough on them. Remains to be seen. I'm sure OSU will be out for blood next year.

Being there live, I don't see a real problem with that fight. It did almost nothing to cast a bad shadow on what was going on.

The whole game was intense, but had way less of the nastiness that we've seen in the past. The fight was pretty much taken as entertainment.

Immediately afterwards, people pretty much said, "Hey, we got ohio to lose their cool. They aren't invincible after all.. " and then we went out and beat them.

When Fox wasn't showing girls with big boobs, and guys with bare bellies (yes, its strange) they finally showed CRD talking to his player and telling him to calm down. Harbaugh was losing his $#!t over on his sideline, but it was hard to tell whether he was yelling at his players, the refs, or both. It was cleaned up fairly quick by the zebras. I thought it was going to be one call against each team, because that's the standard punishment in those situations.

I think the osu players were at least a little bit surprised at how the Michigan players were reacting. I don't thnk they expected the intensity that they saw.

Liney ...... you give to much credit to Bo's and Woody's teams. I think there was a lot more overlooked dirty play in that era than there is now. The FOX producers knitted together a pretty good piece that reflected the "intensity" this particular game produces. The Woodson fight where he got punched tore off his helmet and went after the guy that punched him is a classic Dong punching and eye gouging in the pile is legendary.

I thought this might have been the best reffed BT game I saw this season. No question, they let the players play.
Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.

Yes, it worked out alright, but...

The concern wasn't the fight as such. It was the possibility of coming out on the wrong end of the flags and losing yardage or even a player at a critical point in the ballgame.

The intensity was welcome, the outcome was better than expected, but it had the potential to fuck Michigan in the ass at a crucial point in the game. (and we've all seen that happen before)
