  • They've been putting this O-Line group together for 2-3 years, and they've finally gotten it right. They are the story of the season. None of the good stuff happens without their performance this season. Got to keep that going.

And Cade's mistake required a great catch by the OSU defender otherwise that was going to be a TD, and if Michigan goes up 14-0 at that point----it would have been blood in the water time.
2012 Detroit Lions Draft: 1) Cordy Glenn G , 2) Brandon Taylor S, 3) Sean Spence olb, 4) Joe Adams WR/KR, 5) Matt McCants OT, 7a) B.J. Coleman QB 7b) Kewshan Martin WR

Whoa there, that was a bad throw on his mistake - arguably the only mistake they really made in the game.
And 14-0 in the 1st Qtr is hardly blood in the water against a high powered offense that OSU has.
There is no hurry to try to beat a team in the 1st Qtr - because you can't.

        • Don’t look now, but Wisky might go down. Lots of time left but they don’t look good. Who would you rather play? Wisky or Iowa. I think I’d rather take my chances with Iowa and that anemic offense.

          • TBH, it shouldn't matter.
UM should be able to comfortably deal with both Iowa or Whiskey - even on a neutral field.

            • Nobody like to play or have to beat a team twice. Iowa would be another monkey off HARBAUGH!! 'S back.

              • TBH, this monkey off his back is enough.
Refocus, bring your A game and neither of the options presented should be an issue.
Watching this game, I can't remember the last time I saw Wisconsin with an O-line that is having issues blocking.

They don’t look good. The Minny Dline is beating them pretty badly.

                    • Wisconsin's defense can shut your offense down, they scare me far more than Iowa. Actually, Wisconsin's D has shut down everyone but M and Notre Dame.

I'm rooting for the Gophers (tied ATM), who can play defense themselves.

                      • One important thing we might have seen in this win is that when you have a dominating run game it sets the stage for dominating a modern big, play, pass focused offense. I think this is a classic Harbaugh offense run about as good as it can be run. When you're driving when you need to drive with the run game (297 5 rushing TDs) then able to pop a few big plays off PA (196, 13/19, QBR 88, 3 plays > 20 yards) it's hard for the big play passing offense teams to compete.

I will say, M hasn't played a game like this under Harbaugh and I can't remember an M team executing like this team did in recent memory. It was pretty close to perfect. So, from 10K, I could be providing more praise than is deserved for Harball or Gattis-Baugh offense - whatever you want to call it - in the modern age of football. But, this was an ass-kicking of "The Ohio State," the best offense in CFB, "maybe of all time" it was said before this game and this was a big play offense focused on the passing game and 3 great OSU receivers.

There's about 3 minutes left in the 3rd quarter of the Minny/Wisky game. Wisconsin is no OSU but they are solid. They're trailing 20/13 with the Gophers just scoring. The way M played today v. OSU, if there's a repeat of that level of execution on the way to CFP berth in Indy, M can beat either Wisconsin or Iowa. Who watched the Nebraska/Iowa game?
Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.

                        • If it was another year and another team, I’d be worried about a letdown in the Big 10 championship game. But this team has a lot of grit, and I don’t think they will stumble that way. It’s funny, after beating osu, the conference championship is going to feel like an after thought. Who can believe we’ve never played in that game.

                              • Yep, Whisky goes down. Iowa is our opponent. If we play like we did today, shouldn’t be a problem.
