Totally true. Unfortunately we are in the place that OSU was in the Cooper years, but it’s lasted longer and through 3 coaches. The difficult thing is, if Harbaugh can’t get it done, who can? No guarantee that a new coach could do better, and might be worse (see Rich Rod).

          • Michigan has never been a football factory. Too many limitations in admissions and recruiting and such. There's no paradigm shift coming in near future. The most you can hope for is exploiting a down year in OSU here and there and sharing second place with the Penn States most the time. People seem to think UM can be better than the Buckeye's at anything when in reality they are superior in everything including intangibles like preparing and wanting it more etc.

They are due but will most likely still get rolled again. Hope not but probably so.

            • Yeah, I think it’s clear by now that HARBAUGH!!! is not going to have an elite program. Very good, but not elite.

That is 100% bullshit. Michigan used to be at or near the top of the list for putting players in the NFL. They’re still probably top 10. Hell, Hoke recruited the 2016 team that had 11 NFL draft picks which was most in the country that year.

We have higher academic standards than say, Ole Miss, but re: Big Ten counterparts, it’s the same. There is no blue chip recruit that OSU/PSU offers that Michigan wouldn’t accept.

Bo coached 21 seasons at Michigan and every player that stayed all 4 years went to the Rose Bowl. From the day Bo was hired in 1969 until the day Lloyd Carr retired in 2007 Michigan was the 2nd winningest team in the country behind only Nebraska. In those 39 seasons they won 23 Big Ten championships, a national championship, and had 2 Heisman Trophy winners.

For whatever reason the 21st century passed them by. But that doesn’t erase a legacy that was earned with decades of excellence, pride, tradition, and toughness.

                  • Good morning. Time to start drinking soon. Thanksgiving leftovers. Maybe get the fireplace going. With enough alcohol consumption I'm hoping to be ready for whatever storm comes today. Time to brace for impact. Game is less than five hours away.

No matter what happens...enjoy the stage. It will undoubtedly be the most viewed college football game of the regular season. Regardless of the result, I just hope Michigan leaves everything they have on that football field today. Go Blue. Enjoy the game, fellas.

                    • Oh great… this ref.

Some good news to offset that … I’m seeing that the precipitation rate is up to 50% by game time. 30 degrees.

                        • You know, for the record, Ohio State got assbanged by the refs in 2018. Honestly, it was th reason the game was as close as it was.

I seen that, it was going around yesterday, has to be fake ...so I didn't post. People were losing it on social media. Said Chis Balas confirmed it, but I didn't see anything. There is no way he could be doing the game, it would be criminal, seriously.

Yep, that broke the previous program record for players picked in a single draft, which was 10 in both 1974 and 1972.
