14-0, good guys, as Haskins cashes in from the one.

The only fans that cared enough to show up for this game are the Michigan alums in D .C..

14-3. Maryland gets the field goal, but should have had a TD on that drive.

21-3, McCarthy to Sainristil. Michigan takes advantage of the short field after the blocked punt.

24-3. Michigan runs an excellent two-minute drive, but Michigan loses out on a TD due to a chop block penalty.

Both teams are shooting themselves in the foot like crazy but M has the talent to overcome their mistakes.

Dan Patrick: What was your reaction to [Urban Meyer being hired]?
                    Brady Hoke: You know.....not....good.

Let McCarthy play the rest of the game. McNamara's game against MSU was Fool's Gold, especially when you take into account how shitty MSU's pass defense is. The offense runs way better with McCarthy in there since he is a running threat.

Roman Wilson is owed a TD due ONCE AGAIN to the total INCOMPETENCE of Big Ten 'officiating'. It was NOT an 'illegal chop block'. The 2nd guy never made contact.

Donovan Edwards is having the best game of his young career. Good for him.

Great pass on TD #3 by McCarthy to Sainristill. Michigan's young WR's are shining today.

Defense overall having a very good day. One shaky drive, but Maryland killed that one all by themselves.

                        Should be 28-3 at worst.

Trying to enjoy this game, because for me, the regular season ends today. Everyone knows what's coming next week.

10-2 is a very good improvement from 2-6. NYD 6 bowl most likely.

Technically, I think that he did touch him. Barely. That's two 3rd and 1 penalties that have wiped out a first down and then a penalty that wiped out a touchdown.

Fortunately, Maryland sucks and is just as shittily coached.

This is a competent M football team playing old school football with coaches that refuse to embrace modern offensive concepts that set elite teams from the rest - no matter how competent.

My take is that M has a WR room with the skill-sets to make big plays and two QBs that can throw the ball to make them. I don't see how you can miss the keys to winning football played between to competent football teams that fundamentally play competently in all phases of the game in the modern game of CFB.

Big plays will win those games and developing QBs and receivers that can make them and then trusting them to do it under game pressure are going to be victorious. That isn't Michigan and, IMO, it's a coaching staff that's done a good job developing this teams receivers and QBs to deliver the big play then shackling them with an antiquated old school approach to the game.
Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.

Taulia Tagovailoa is exactly as advertised. He just isn't reliably good. He's had time. His receivers are getting open on good routes and well schemed plays. He's missing them wildly.

In that we saw M collapse against MSU in the 2nd half, I'm thinking about that given Harbaugh's game strategy.

An illegal chop block is where two offensive players engage one defender, one hitting him high, the other hitting him low. Key word is HIT, not tap with their hand.

I shouldn't be surprised. Its just more for the file cabinet.
