Let McNamara throw and the game will be over at half time. Keep Corum and Anthony on the bench. They will be desperately needed against osu to have any chance.

Michigan tunes up for next week. It won't be explosive- but a smothering sort of 38-13 game. I will seem even more one-sided than that.

Is it even a question if Corum is playing vs Maryland? M better not play Corum unless he is quietly back to 100% healthy.

All for letting McNamara ball out because he needs that experience. The more reps McNamara can get there, the better long term. There will be games when an opposing D shuts down the M running game. For example, if M plays Georgia in the Playoff. I have a hunch that M is saving McNamara’s legs for the Ohio State game… the idea of letting him carry the ball on some QB reads.

M is now -16 vs Maryland. Spread opened at M -14
earlier in the week and I might have seen M -13.5 at some point (could be wrong).
8-2 record ATS this season. Meaning, there’s a trend that suggests M wins by 17 or more vs Maryland.

8-2 ATS is astounding for M this season. Over the last 20 or so years M seems to have gone 3-9 ATS/season. A sign of positive growth.

Either that or BPONE has infected the Vegas oddsmakers.

Part of it is M exceeding preseason expectations and Vegas/ people in general being slow to catch on. Some luck involved.
The schedule has unexpectedly been favorable for M:
              - Washington being much worse than expected.
              - Wisconsin being down early in the season.
              - Nebraska. That fumble… luck!
              - Indiana, a top 20 preseason team, being down and starting some random guy at QB.
              - Penn State, while a very tough opponent, down compared to preseason expectations. M winning a close ‘50-50’ can go either way game.

Even the MSU game was going well midway through the 3rd quarter before everything fell apart.

Most teams with the exception of Northern Illinois have been worse than we expected or maybe met expectations. NIU might win the MAC, which is sort of a surprise since they looked like a MAC basement dweller when we played them.

Agree with Liney. UM will win but because of the stubborn insistence of Harbaugh and Gattis to be true to "their identity" the margin of victory will be less than 10 points.

                    This one shouldn't be close.

I agree, the game should be comfortably in hand by the 3rd quarter, but because of the conservative play to just run out the clock, the score might not be that impressive. Something like 27 - 13 Michigan.

This will be the last win for about a year. Enjoy it, though I have a feeling its going to be 'not so easy'. Michigan 29 Maryland 25

Maryland’s defense is RichRod 2010 caliber and their offense is mistake prone and missing some key weapons.

If this one is decided by less than 17, be worried.

Michigan will probably be looking ahead to next week. Or may take UMaryland for granted ad a poor team

I certainly agree with your first points. However, there is no absolute margin that defines a win by, as you suggest 17 being, either confidence building if at or above this number or worrisome below it. The reason for that is "shit happens." There are any number of factors out of control of M's football team. It is my view that in CFB, there are way too many of them.

M should win this game namely and, in part, because of the factors you list above. But all that's needed is to score more points than Maryland. I'm not going to worry if the margin of win is below some absolute number.
Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.

TD, Schoonmaker. 7-0, good guys. Brad Hawkins has been taken to the locker room with an injury.
