If anything, it looks like they were the team that was getting the benefit of the doubt today.
Since I'm in a good mood, I'd give the officiating crew a "C" today. There were still micro-officiating calls that went against Michigan, and we had to hold our breath anytime they went to replay, because we usually don't fare well there. But in the zebra's favor, I don't think anything they called or didn't call had an effect on the outcome of the game. It was decided by the players, as it should.
Maybe PSU would be happier in the ACC. I'd bid them a fond farewell as they leave.

There is supposedly some "controversy" regarding the play where All scored the winning touchdown. Some are saying that Michigan ran an illegal 'pick' play to get him in the open. I've watched the replay several times, and all I saw was two PSU defenders run into each other, and neither made contact with anyone wearing a white shirt. They "picked" each other. M players had nothing to do with it.
Some gonna whine no matter what. M is on the plane headed home singing "Its great to be a Michigan Wolverine". Well deserved. Sing away, guys.
Is this real?
I like to make fun of Sainristil, but he didn’t do anything wrong on that play. Sainristil hardly, if any, made contact to #4 on Penn State.
I haven't heard anything about this controversy, probably an exaggeration. You got the win and it is even better if the opponent is complaining about a call going against them. That's a double win.
Great win by the boys tonight. That was just gritty! The defense did just enough and had clifford rattled all game. The offense did just enough. That pass to All was masterful. So glad we got this win. Go Blue!
Corn Johnson, not Sainristil. My mistake.
It’s a nothingburger.
Re-watching… the moment McNamara fumbled after Penn State tied it up 14-14… that’s when it looked like the game was lost given recent Michigan history. Excluding vs Nebraska this season.
It’s refreshing to see M clutch up in a game this late in a season.

Right. Not just to clutch throw to All but then when the offense got the ball again they milked the clock. Timing couldn't have been better.
A rare satisfying win. Michigan has had wins where we win ugly, or win with a cost, (injury) and even some where me probably didn't deserve to win. But yesterday's was to me, just plain satisfying. The team played very well from the 2nd quarter on, the defense saved the day time after time, and I'm sure they were gassed at the end of the day. To see them get the winning score when the odds, and the momentum was against them, was something this tired old soul needed to see.
The unsung heroes of the season so far has been the OL, in my mind. That unit has only allowed a handful of sacks all season long, against defenses that have been breathing fire, trying to get to McNamara. They've also opened up running lanes for Haskins, that has allowed him to be one of the better RB's in the country. The improvement in the OL is directly tied to the overall success that Michigan has had all season long. When the guys get on their blocks and finish them, that unit is as good as any in the country. I'd still put Georgia's OL at the top, but Michigan is certainly in the top 5.
This team is 7 mistakenly disallowed points from being in the playoff mix today. 100% of the credit for the improvement goes to the players. Their effort has been almost as good as the '97 team, where those guys decided they'd had enough of losing. These kids seem to have that same mentality.
Time to get Maryland in the "W" column, then lets see what happens on T--day weekend.

Michigan is absolutely in the CFP mix now. You win your remaining games and you’re in. A 12-1 BigTen champ with wins over Ohio State, Penn State, Wisconsin x2 (or Wisconsin x1 and Iowa) and you are absolutely in.

Well, Michigan is in the CFP mix, but only mathmatically. That OSU roadblock is still firmly in place, and its going to take a herculean effort on the part of M's boys to get past that. Probably along the lines of the 1969 team's effort in the same game, if not more. It'd be fun to see Michigan play in Indy, but it'd be just our luck that Michigan would win the CCG, and then get left out of the playoffs because the committee wants ND more than Michigan.

.......and then get left out of the playoffs because the committee wants ND more than Michigan.
That's not going to happen. The Big 10 is one of if not THE toughest conference in CFB. That's going to count and ND being independent hurts them.
WIn out, with OSU beating MSU next week and they're in the CCG. Beat whoever shows up from the West to meet M in Indy and M is in the CFP.
Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.
1) If M beats Ohio State and wins the B10CG, there is no way on God’s green that a tepid ND team jumps M.
2) Michigan has the best team it’s had in years: 4th in scoring defense, top 25 in scoring offense, only 1 loss (in a game you shoulda won). Ohio State may win, I don’t know, but it’s in the Big House and Michigan is ballpark as good as the Buckeyes. There aren’t many years outta the last two decades where that was true like it is this year. Defeating the Buckeye Death Star will be a monumental task, but it’s doable.
3) You didn’t ask for my two cents, but that’s never stopped me before so here they are: The sandbagging and Eeyore world view is played out. Revel in M’s success. Have confidence in those young men in maize and blue playing their hearts out.
4) I watched my 4th M game yesterday and the Wolverines are truly playing as a team. Go Blue. AAlum Supports You.

M 100000% in if they win out. I’m not even worried about that question.
Things get interesting when it comes to the Playoff if both MSU and M win out. Doubtful… that’s chaos though.
MSU a lock in this scenario. Does M jump Oregon though… that Ohio State win wouldn’t look that good all of a sudden. PAC12 stinks.
