The only thing that M is dominating are the run stats. Keep in mind that this is the second worst rush defense in the conference giving up something like 250 rush yards per game. M's run game is matching that.Originally posted by iam416 View Post

McNamara isn't hitting his primary targets, checks down too quickly and his receivers aren't getting separation driving those check downs. I don't think he's getting the offense into the right play call when he makes a pre-snap read (and that's all he's doing) creating a lot of run plays into 8 defenders that produce 2 yard gains.
What will keep this team from coming out of November as the East leader is going to be their poor red zone efficiency. IMO, that is the fault of unimaginative play calling combined with a QB who posses no run threat and can't make clutch passing plays. M isn't going to win on defense and special teams. I'd have to look but I bet M has burned at least a dozen plays from inside the 5 trying to run the ball when the numbers aren't their to succeed.Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.Comment

This team is in the group of about 20 teams in the country that are not Georgia, Alabama or (maybe Ohio State). They are all decent teams but pretty much non descript and interchangeable.
Even if this team was better, they would be limited byMcNamara.

M has a solid D, and their running game is like Alabama’s old joyless murder ball of last decade. M is good enough but they'll need some breaks to beat the Buckeyes. Sparty game a coin flip with it being in the road. I think M is more talented but I think they are a tough match up for us.Comment

For the first time in four games, Michigan played a decent 2nd half.
Moody = money .. the miss at the end doesn't count.
Right now, I'd make MSU about a 4-7 point favorite. Their offense can make Michigan pay for its defensive lapses. MSU has a top notch RB. NW does not, but yet he scorched Michigan a few times.
