Rivalry game!! And against a Northwestern team that has become a fixture in the Big Ten Championship game. It will be a good measuring stick to see how good this Michigan team really is.

I do agree with that. And after HARBAUGH!!!! plasters nFw by 45 it'll be pretty hard for any M fan not to acknowledge the obvious -- outside of Georgia, there's no team even arguably better than HARBAUGH!!!! -- and I do think Georgia is only arguably better.Dan Patrick: What was your reaction to [Urban Meyer being hired]?
Brady Hoke: You know.....not....good.

That game will make Christians v. Lions look like a Nebraska fraternity pillow fight. Untold, wanton slaughter. Harbaugh, bare-chested, reveling in the blood of his enemies.Last edited by Dr. Strangelove; October 12, 2021, 08:24 AM.

You need to put down the glue as well.
Even if the season is massively successful, M isn't getting past OSU. And M/Harbaugh have too many enemies on the selection panel to get in as an at-large.
Lets keep things in perspective.
NW will not lie down for M. MSU is going to be a meat grinder.
Still WAY too much tough football to play before we annoint M as a 'great' team."The stockings were hung by the chimney with care, .. I'd worn them for weeks, and they needed the air"

I think Nebraska is getting there. They're close to breaking through. And I don't necessarily mean breaking through as a perennial top ten team or national championship contender like they used to be once upon a time. But I think that program is definitely on the verge of being a good, solid football program again who can be a tough out for anybody.
This is one of those seasons where you can see it, even if the record obviously doesn't reflect it. They lost to #4 Oklahoma, in Norman, by a single touchdown. They lost to #10 Michigan State, in East Lansing, in overtime. They lost to #8 Michigan by 3 points. They had late leads against both Michigan State and Michigan. Their one bad loss was the opener against Illinois. But clearly if they played Illinois again today, things would be different. They're obviously a better team than Illinois.
I think Frost finally has them on the right track. That program is ascending.AAL: KhaDarel Hodges

Among all the critical comments of M's offense, lack of constraints, counters and imagination, there's an article at mgo titled "Technical Flyover." It's a series by the author - he's done Two of them replacing Seth's stuff from seasons past.
It's a different take. I'm not endorsing it but worth a read. You know where to find mgo.Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.

Cade so far has basically been Shea Patterson in QBR, digging into the stats there hasn't been much difference in QBR for Harbaugh's QB's just that Jake Rudock was by far the best read-option. Not a close second among Shea, Speight, McNamara. They've all played with varied quality of skill talent.
