Ronnie Bell + Xavier Worthy? That was a real possibility and could have made this team incredible. That’s also why I don’t follow recruiting anymore because it’s hardly a thought to me.
Oh well. Corn Johnson, Baldwin, and Wilson have been getting better. Could be an OK to above average WR core by season end if they keep improving at this rate.
Guessing Roman Wilson will be back vs NW.
Henning muffed a punt return yesterday and luckily M was able to come up with the ball. Still such a raw player despite being in year 2.
Something I liked was how M involved the TEs more. Couple clutch 3rd down conversions yesterday.
The TD pass to the unguarded TE over the middle should've been an illegal formation. Nebraska had five guys on the left side which led to him being so wide open.
I think M will handle NW, but Fitz will throw some different looks at them. Its really all he's got.
Probably something along the lines of 34 - 13 Michigan. M can't get caught looking ahead.
Also, isnt this about the time of year Fitz gets his squad wipped into shape. Probably, not this year but later Northwestern always gets better as the season progresses.
A narrow escape is better than a loss, but let’s not pretend that this was some kind of signature win. Nebraska will need to pull a pretty big upset to be bowl eligible.

I totally agree, Hanni. This was a "collect the W and get out of town" win. Michigan didn't overwhelm or dominate in any way. They were lucky to get this one. Tougher opponents are out there in much more hostile venues. The 6-0 record is excellent, much better than I expected. I expected a ceiling of 4 - 2 after 6 games.
The week off comes at a good time. McDonald needs to go back and review film to find out what opposing OC's are doing to make his defense look so bad after halftime. McNamara needs to work on his touch. Lots of things still need attention. The 2nd half of the season is going to be a killer.

Beat Wisky, Minny and Purdue. 6-6. Plus I have a feeling we beat Iowa in Lincoln and fuck up their playoff hopes.
Iowa is an 8-4 team masquerading as the #2 team in the country. They’d be the 4th best team in the East this year. If Clifford hadn’t gotten hurt, that game yesterday would have been about 31-10 PSU.
Winning at Wisconsin and at Nebraska are very big wins, especially for Harbaugh. He has generally lost those games.
Beating Wisky is a pretty nice win that will probably hold up by the end of the year. Beating Nebraska is only "big for Harbaugh". A healthy and functional program should expect to easily beat a team that is chalk to not make a bowl game (even on the road at night in a raucus atmosphere).

There's a lot of truth to this, but their pass defense is legit elite. Those DBs are insane. Watching them go up against OSU's NFL guys will be interesting.
