That said, this is why I have no interest in ever buying season tickets and paying for a seat license and all that bullshit.
I wonder who's eating the cost between what M charges for the tickets, along with the seat license fee? I doubt that Stub Hub is eating that because it'd be a losing proposition no matter what. And, I don't see how that Michigan would eat that cost.

By the numbers, at least, this is a much-improved team, and one that doesn't figure to do much to beat itself.
Schiano has gotten Rutgers to do the same thing that Tucker has with MSU. They have stopped the stupid stuff that normally holds them back, and they're focusing on solid fundamental football.

I don't know what the future holds for the Scarlet Knights, but I still think the old bogeyman of MSU being MSU will rear its ugly head at some point. It has happened at some point, every year since Duffy left

I heard Rutgers' starting corners are out on account of a paint ball incident. Firstly, is that still a thing now and isn't that more a H.S. hijink? Anyhoo, Melton was a pretty good athlete and run supporter.

Nobody is eating it except season ticket holders who are trying to dump tickets, for which they paid full price, in the secondary market. Seat licenses are only attached to season tickets. The remaining single game tickets are sold through the UM box office and the open market. From the university’s perspective, an unsold ticket yields $0.00. A ticket sold for $20 is $20 more than $0.00.

The true value of tickets to a game against a lousy opponent is WAY less than the original cost of a ticket. You can go to all four wins vs tomato cans (possibly the first six home games) for the same price as watching OSU take Michigan’s lunch money.

Schiano is a good coach. His teams are usually pretty disciplined. The talent gap is wide between M and Rutgers though. He gets the most of his guys just like Fitz does at fNW...

I heard only one starter was suspended. The other isn't a starter. I could be wrong.

Their best starting CB and a special teams CB. It hurts... M would worse off if Germon Green was out for a game as an example.

IF M does have to open up the passing game, it should be beneficial for Corn Johnson or Roman Wilson.

Bingo! From a business sense, the deal with StubHub is probably the only brilliant thing to come from the Brandon administration. That it screws over the season ticket holders makes it so typical of those jokers.

I like the convenience of the home games ticket package that my son and I have bought for the last decade by participating in a pool of season ticket holders then spreading the tickets out within our group that often provides access to games for folks that otherwise couldn't afford them. But, as Mike has pointed out, I'm paying a lot more for that package than I might have to if I just bought tickets for the games I actually attend on Stub Hub. But our group has a good thing going. If that dissolves we lose some of it's benefits.

Paintball? Talk about not getting your money's worth out of a one game suspension.

I thought mgo's FFF Rutgers Offense brought Rutgers back down to earth by a couple of notches. They are a spread offense that runs a lot of power and their RB is a "danger man." But the run game is hamstrung by a passing game where the OL can't pass block.

McDonald's D as we have seen it perform in the first three games does well against spread offenses that don't have some threat from a solid passing game. He seems to find weaknesses to exploit up front and exploits them. Seeing the mix of defensive alignments M throws out there and that a QB has to read them pre-snap to get the right play called then post-snap, in the face of confusing M D movement, to make the RO and RPO plays work is pretty impressive.

FFFF Rutgers Defense is pending but, aside from a couple of players suspended, it's not hot garbage and stands up to the run better than M's 3 previous opponents, at least by the numbers.

                        M 31* - Rutgers 10.

*M will score in the 40s if Rutger's back end turns out to be a clown show.

The original ticket buyer is eating the cost. Stubhub is mostly a resell site from what I've seen. The ticket was originally purchased by an individual who no longer wants/needs it. It is possible that UofM is directly putting tickets on stubhub, In which case it would be the University eating the cost. Stubhub will always get their fees, which is all they care about. Even if UofM is directly dumping tickets on stubhub, if they sell them they get at least a little for the ticket. An unsold ticket gets the University $0. If they can make $15 on it, its worth it to them.

                            Ok, Game predictions time:

M 42 - Rutgers 13. Michigan continues their ground pounding, plus a few 'take the top off' passes and a few more to take advantage of the paintball boys. Rutgers is a slight step up from our recent competition, as they seem to be playing disciplined football, however they don't have the horses to make this a real matchup. Game will be pretty much over by the half.

I am still a little surprised that the line on this one is as large as it is, but maybe it's another one of those situations where Vegas has an uncanny ability to predict stuff that you can't see with the naked eye.
