Damn. 9th rushing TD of the day is wiped out by a holding call. Only penalty on the offense all day

The defense showed some flaws today but offense was like the Delaware State game.

Just got rid of my looser avatar and changed my post comment. The Rutgers game will be interesting. The red nights or whatever are way better than NIU

What a shitty penalty to negate a punt on.

Welp. We’re 3/4 of the way to our 4 wins. Between Rutgers, Nebraska, and NW, we should get one more.

                    • 4th down run by Villari. I wonder if Michigan is looking to punish NIU for some yammering or taunting.

                          • I'll say one thing aside from the game being really fun to watch baring the shittiest network production I've ever seen. I can't comment on the both because I muted it 2 minutes in. What's a shame is the BTN studio guys are really good. FOX needs to do something about what's going on with the directors in the vans and the shit announcers in the booth. Terrible, unwatchable. I won't even list the camera and playback work. You saw it.

Texting with M fans, none of us can remember a beat down like this. Myaybe stomping Rutgers 77-0.

My recent remembrances watching games are filled with throwing things at the TV or bowing my head in disgust watching games live. My remote memories, going back to Bo's teams, we're a lot like watching this game. Those kinds of wins - totally dominating - faded in the late 90s. In the aughts, things got disjointed and in the last decade M football became hard to watch aside from Denard. Harbaugh has really failed us. The last two seasons prior to this unwatchable. ...... The last three games look like a turnaround is underway - and these are solid wins in every phase of the game.

                              • I enjoyed the game, but I'm keeping it in perspective. We've seen this story before. There are still 5-6 losable games on this schedule, and it starts getting serious next week. Schiano has had Michigan's number when he was at OSU, and he knows how to game plan for pretty much anything that Harbaugh can throw at him.

Pour a big glass of icy Kool Aid in front of me if you like, but I'm not even looking at it, much less drinking it.

That disclaimer aside, I like what appears to be a bit of newfound toughness on the OL, and among the RB's. The OL is playing very physical, and the RB's don't go down in a puff of air. They fight and scrap for every yard. Refreshing, but again, keep it in perspective. The easy games on the schedule are over.

Defensively, and early on in the game, NIU exposed some deficiencies in M stopping the run, and they showed that M is vulnerable to a running QB. That will destroy us against November competition if it doesn't get fixed.

But, it was a fun game to watch. I like the young talent in the backfield, and I like the QB combo of McNamara and McCarthy. Its a major step forward from Threet/Sheridan and O'Korn/Speight. Hopefully, those days are gone for good.
