Apparently, there was something resembling a 'spring game' yesterday at Michigan Stadium. From what I can gather, the public and press was not allowed. There was two teams, one in all blue and the other in all maize. The maize was led by McNamara, and the blue was led by McCarthy. Maize beat the blue by a score of 22-10, I believe. No mention was made of the QB that supposedly transferred in from Texas Tech. Maybe he's not on campus yet.

McNamara had the better showing of the two QB's, which is to be expected. McCarthy had some good moments but had several passes batted down at the LOS. I couldn't find any info on how Edwards may have done. One other gleaning was that the defense seems to be ahead of the offense. I'm not sure what that means.

Most everything else about the game is paywalled behind the Detroit News and FREEP's sites. I won't pay their extortion money to see what they have to say. I'd rather go out and buy a pair of socks.

Defense is ahead of the offense, love the new scheme. They will get after the QB more. The energy is players was getting chippy with each other. JJ is gonna be nice once he gets the playbook down. Made some impressive throws. Andrel Anthony looks damn good so does Donovan Edwards


Anthony made some very nice catches and Edwards ran the ball very good. So did Dunlap. But the defense was flying around making plays....its gonna be interesting to see how it translate into the season. I liked what I saw and the direction they are going. The stand up LB's

Thanks, Wings. I couldn't find any other info about what happened. Everything I saw was paywalled by the Freep and Snooze, and I'm not paying them for the privilege of looking at their website.
