Milton blows. McNamara needs to play the rest of the season. Hopefully this staff won’t be around to ruin his promising career.

McNamara is playing great. Gets us into long FG range at the end of the half. High snap throws off the timing and it’s a clusterfuck. Looked like Nordin may have had words with Harbaugh or vice versa. Nordin was clearly upset. He also missed one by 10 feet on a routine snap/kick so I’m not too interested in his bitching.
But that’s this game in a nutshell. Our kicker is yelling at people as we walk off the field down 17-7 at the half to Rutgers.

I don’t see it. I don’t care how hard or far a guy can throw a football. That’s not the point. He consistently rifles passes that need touch, runs himself into trouble, doesn’t really seem to have great speed or elusiveness, and misses lots of easy throws. McNamara comes in with the same surrounding cast and makes it look easy.
Milton has a great arm, size, and occasionally makes a "wow" throw.
Unfortunately... Milton lacks consistency, touch, awareness, decisiveness, accuracy, and speed. Middling to poor + inconsistent in all of those areas.
McNamara... at least he can take the easy stuff and has hit some deep passes. I get that McNamara has a lower ceiling, but he is a lot better right now.

Pretty much right on. Milton has the physical gifts--he just needs to learn a lot of the QB part of it.
