It’s a bad year to fire/hire a coach. Some people with “fuck you money” are gonna need to bail Warde out. Fortunately, Harbaugh’s buyout can’t be much (relatively speaking) with only one year left on his deal. So $7-8M? I would think that can be handled Covid or no fucking Covid. All that’s required is any semblance of a spine.

I haven't been watching. All I'm seeing is the cut-ins from the networks and the crawlers.
For the 4th time in 20 years, Michigan is having to go thru the pains of getting rid of a coach that needs to go. Carr needed to go about 2 years before he actually did. Rodriguez should have never been hired (Les Miles should have been) but Rodriguez should have been gone after year 2. Hoke should have been gone after year 3. Now Harbaugh needs to be gone tomorrow.
I don't expect Harbaugh to be fired during the season, but I'll be shocked if he is coaching here next year. AND, he's probably fallen on the list of "desirable" coach replacements in the NFL. I don't see how any sane-thinking NFL team would take a chance on him now.
Maybe Ryan Day will do us a favor and follow thru on his promise to hang 100 on Michigan this year. I don't know how the need to replace Harbaugh will be made any clearer than that.
I have no idea who will be coaching Michigan next year, and I really don't care at this point. Harbaugh needs to be gone. I don't wish him any ill-will. Just go, and take all your assistants with you."in order to lead America you must love America"

Carr takes a lot of heat for the end of his career. I like to point out that he won 20 games in his last two seasons and that two year mark has not been eclipsed since (Harbaugh tied it). He also went a combined 6-0 those two seasons against ND, MSU, and PSU capped off with a win over Florida in Tebow’s Heisman season. Harbaugh hasn’t come close to anything like that. And these were the two seasons that people point to as Carr’s bad years/demise.

This M loss reminds me of:
- 2011 M vs Mississippi State bowl game (2010 season). Rich Rod's last game.
- 2014 M vs Utah. The game when Shane Morris was beaten up vs Utah. People were done with Brady Hoke.
All of the M community comes together with the common belief that the head coach needs to be fired.
IMO, I was done with Harbaugh after the 2018 loss to Ohio State. Know that was early for several M fans, but that game was seriously a gut punch.
Now the discussion should primarily go to "Who should replace Jim Harbaugh?"

Wisconsin scores the biggest margin of victory by a visiting team in Michigan Stadium since 1935. Ordinarily, I'd agree with John Bacon and linesman that even a terrible season wouldn't cause Michigan to fire Harbaugh mid-season, but this loss might severely test that theory.

What sucks even more, is that the situation is so bad, that even a new coach isn't going to be able to fix it right away. We're likely looking at 2-3 years to rehabilitate this mess, and that is supposing that the right hire is made."in order to lead America you must love America"
