Dunno, Harbaugh has absolutely stunk up Bo's legacy but the school, the block M and the traditions, however blemished by the turd Harbaugh has laid, still has cache. I sort-of get the notion that Fickle, among other coaches who might be good fits, are happy with where they are recognizing winning the East and advancing to a CFB play-off berth requires getting though OSU. Tought duty.
Perhaps the most damage Harbaugh has done is lasting and that's the degree to which the best players have doubts about playing at M regardless of who the coaching staff is. It's already clear not many of them want to play for Brown if they are defenders by trade and now it's clear that skill players on offense don't want to be anywhere near Jim Harbaugh. Playing for M is the end of promising careers for receivers and running backs and it looks like you can add QBs to that list too.
It's going to take a coach that wants a project and has the sticktuitiveness to be around long enough to drag M football out of the BPONE that more than a decade of shitty program management and equally shitty coaching hires and records have produced. Bo did it after at least 8 or more years of mediocre on field performances ending with Bump Elliot in '69. It's going to take an AD like Canham and a coach with Bo's tenacity and UFM's football organizational skills to salvage this shit-show. There's somebody out there like that. The question remains can M identify that guy and get him to come to M?
