To actual on-field stuff, I'm really tracking M's OL play this abbreviated season. My take on M's OL was roundly rejected by the geniuses at MGO. It seems like the OL is at least as good as Maryland's.

Also, with M's stunning loss to Sparty, Coach HARBAUGH!!!!! runs his streak to 10 years without an undefeated conference record. He now has as many conference losses as Ohio State does since 2007, and that includes Fickell's disgraceful 5. Excluding the Year of Fickell, it goes back to the start of 2004 and that disgracefully awful year.

        Good times!

And, all of sudden, MGO is enjoyable to read again.

0-2 on M game predictions this year. So what I say, think the opposite.

          Indiana 24
          M 17
          Indiana +2 spread

Indiana has a well rounded team. They did a pretty good job against Penn State’s offense until the late 4th Q and OT.... which means the M offense is in trouble again. Indiana offense appears to be very balanced. They have a couple receiving options that should give the M passing D trouble. Indiana should certainly attack the M CBs. This will be a close, one possession game in the 4th. Harbaugh will have his team ready to play hard given the outside noise, but it won’t be enough.

Indiana has scored 73 points on 600 yards of total offense this season. They're not that good. They had zero running game against Penn State and a negligble running game against Rutgers. The passing game was generally awful against Penn State (and finished with 4.7 ypa), but Pennix got hot for the final drive. That was a hugely unlikely drive.

            Penn State outgained IU 480-210.

Indiana is not that good. Whether they are good enough to beat HARBAUGH!!!!, I dunno. I will say that I thought their defense played reasonably well against Penn State. It was a definite slog for PSU despite gaining yards. And they apparently shut down Rutgers!

M is probably going to have to be more dynamic on offense. This is way more like playing Sparty than the papier mache Goofers.

Defensively, man. I would think that M could hold IU to 20. But, not if they dare Pennix to throw deep to Phylor all game.

            I'll say M wins this one 31-20.

I agree. And let’s be honest, IU’s win against PSU was not a clean win. It was definitely a case of the worse team pulling out a miraculous win with the help of a dumb decision or two by the better team and a couple of dubious calls by the stripes.

I like M in this one. I didn’t feel that way with MichState -which had trap rivalry game written all over it.

No way does Michigan win this game on Saturday.

                100% Indiana lock. Guaranteed.

Indiana Coach Tom Allen set a lot of goals for his Indiana team, and one of them has been to beat Michigan. This is his best chance. Allen and his coaches have been looking at the MSU game film and they can't wait for kickoff.

Michigan has no answer to what Indiana will do on offense. Indiana will attack the Michigan corners over and over again.

Michigan will insist on running the ball into the middle of the line, where 784 Hoosier players will be waiting for them.

Michigan may not win another game this season, unless they catch Rutgers on a bad day.

Indiana will cover 7-10 points, and it won't be that close.

When it comes to this program, my positivity is completely sapped. There are some good and even very good players on the team, but the leadership has no clue on how to prepare them to play even a mediocre foe. State may not win another game all year, but yet they made Michigan look like a poorly coached HS team.

I thought after Minnesota that this trend had finally come to an end. The team looked prepared against the Goofers, and they executed well. Not perfect, but solid.

On Saturday, it was obvious to me that the Minnesota game was the exception. We're back to the normal.

If they are allowed to play the full 9 game schedule, I think 1-8 is a real possibility. If Rutgers can beat MSU, they can beat Michigan.

Very disappointed in lack of interest in this game.

I can't speak for all the M fans here, but for me, there's nothing to be interested in. Just more of the same half-hearted efforts of recent years, continuing into this Covid-shortened season. I think most fans could forgive a loss if somehow some hope of improvement had been shown. Not in this case.

M started the season with a yeoman effort at Minnesota, and looked fairly well prepared, and pulled off what appeared to be a significant win against a decent opponent. Then MSU came to town with a bunch of JUCO rejects, and made Michigan look like idiots. And for me, the lack of anger on the part of the freaking entire team, from Harbaugh down to the equipment managers is baffling. Nobody seems to care. They're just tucking their tails between their legs, and heading off to Bloomington to play an Indiana team that has fire it its eyes. I just don't get it.

So, I think the fans are reacting accordingly. If its not a big deal to the leadership, its not a big deal to them. The box of juice and apple slices analogy that I used applies here. Pat the kiddies on the head, tell them "you tried", and move on. No urgency, no anger, no gut-checking resolve, .. nothing.

At least in Columbus, you treat the season as though there is something to play for. Michigan now plays for participation trophies.

I expect Michigan to win because Penix sucks donkey balls. Then again, our secondary probably sucks worse. I'll be out golfing instead anyway because, really, who fucking cares?

Yeah, man. Tomorrow is a total found money day for November. It'd be criminal to waste it away inside. Golf, hike, run, ride, whatever. Get outside. And it has the added benefit of missing the Genius of Don Brown tackle the vaunted Hoosier.
