New rule to prevent kickoff returns since they are prone to injuries or whatever.

      • OK, maybe Minnesota's backup punter is that bad.

        • Jesus. You can't tell me out of those 100 fucking kids on the Minnesota sideline there isn't somebody that can punt the ball better than that. Half of the kids on my son's high school team could do a better job

That is an epic coaching fail

            • Sure would be nice to have one of those treys and be up 21 instead of 18.

              • I really wish one of the kickers would win the job outright.

35-17 at the half. I should be thrilled with that-- I had this game pegged as a loss before it became clear Minnesota was going to be down some key players. But that was a very up-and-down first half performance.

                • So this guy beat out Quinn Nordine?

We also led 28-10 that year against Purdue and this has all the hallmarkts of that shitfest too.

Who knows. Harbaugh is fine with rewarding Ben Mason's retarded personal fouls with more playing time, so accountability isn't obvious.

Oh man. Please don’t bring that up. I was there and had that exact feeling..

Well he did repay that confidence with a nice seal block for 6 and a very athletic move for another 6.
It's not like he's shanking 18 yard punts....

                          • 1st half for M:

                            - Offense, excellent. Milton looks promising. RB depth is indeed there. OLine playing like they have played together for years. I like how M is getting the true freshmen involved.

                            - Defense, mixed. It’s a flip of what we expected. Secondary has been fine. Front has been below average. Michael Barrett is the standout player on D to me.

                            - Special teams, both teams are hurting themselves. M helped out significantly by Minnesota’s kicking issues.
                            AAL 2023 - Alim McNeill

                            • Tom - I think the difference between us in 2020 and playing NW in 2000 was that NW was actually a very good team. Minnesota can't put a decent punter on the field. Minnesota is still a decent team, but I think Michigan has shown that they can score more points if they need them. Minny's defense hasn't really stopped us yet.

I still wish Don Brown would be more selective as to when he chooses to pressure. Minny's last TD caught at least 2 M defenders on the inside while pressuring, and their RB bounced outside to get the score.

Milton has shown some flashes of what he can do. Hopefully he gets on the path of constant improvement.

                              • We are up 18 points at the half guys. Averaging 8.4 yards a rush. Bateman has been held in check (so far) and Minnesota can't run the ball.

Let's pour it on in the second half.
2012 Detroit Lions Draft: 1) Cordy Glenn G , 2) Brandon Taylor S, 3) Sean Spence olb, 4) Joe Adams WR/KR, 5) Matt McCants OT, 7a) B.J. Coleman QB 7b) Kewshan Martin WR
