A couple years after I graduated a Cornell lacrosse player was killed in the middle of a game. He was a defensive player from what I remember. Stepped in front of a shot and it hit him directly in the heart. Went into cardiac arrest and died before they could get him to a hospital.

So, if I had to guess I'd say the B10 will postpone the start of the season until later September. They got their asses kicked over the past 48 hours and know they can't just flat cancel. They also know that if they cancel now then some of its members schools will still play.
So, they'll kick the can and THEN cancel when there's no other options for member schools. I really hope the schools that want to play are putting together a Plan B right now to deal with this fucking shit. Hopefully they can get at least 6 and still play some sort of season. But, make no mistake, the B10 is going to fuck itself.Dan Patrick: What was your reaction to [Urban Meyer being hired]?

Personally, I'd like to see Ohio State make arrangements today. Everyone knows where this train is going. Time to get off and find one that isn't going over the edge of a cliff.Dan Patrick: What was your reaction to [Urban Meyer being hired]?

The B12 works best because they only have 10. But, Geographically, I'm not sure there's much difference. The closest schools to Columbus in those two conferences are WV, UK, UTK and Vandy. I don't know where Ames, Columbia, Columbia and Athens rank, but Ames would be the only other town closer than most of the SEC.Dan Patrick: What was your reaction to [Urban Meyer being hired]?

I agree with the "getting off the train" ....... What I don't know are the contractual obligations a school has for conference membership. Can the Athletic Department act independently from the U, i.e., heading to the SEC or the B12 conference to play? I think that's a stretch to think this options is even remotely possible.Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.

It’s official. Season “postponed”. But we all know there won’t be one in the spring either.
”Flatten the curve” was a pure 100% lie from day 1. The people who protested the shutdowns likely knew this in their hearts, even if they weren’t saying this.
Complete bullshit. “Flatten the curve” quietly became “stay in a cocoon until we find a vaccine”. And Oceania has always been at war with Eurasia.Last edited by Hannibal; August 11, 2020, 02:15 PM.

Ohio State wanted to delay the start. They were against postponement, but they're going along with the B10. I just can't fucking believe such cowardice.Dan Patrick: What was your reaction to [Urban Meyer being hired]?
